Weirdest character build or gaming style while waiting for c

Post » Fri Jun 24, 2011 8:16 pm

So, being the diehard Fallout fan I am, rather than skip off to another game while waiting for OWB, I thought I'd make some characters with some rather one sided personality. My first, Bubba, after the Sooki Stackhouse novel character, divided all his special points equally between strength, endurance, and luck, with the rest at 1. Even with this low of a intelligence, I imagine I could create a fairly viable character over 50 levels, if not, it's be fun to try, especially if I start to collect guitars.
Mostly I'm looking for a novel approach, having thouroughly enjoyed a successful DID playthrough, and thought that others might have created some interesting playing quirks that would renew the novelty of the game.
Oh, but honestly I couldn't spend more than 10 minutes trying to decorate a house before annoyance had me chuck a grenade in the corner to "reset" the hung up items, so Martha Stewart's can keep stories of epic book placement to themselves. :icecream:

Try a low intelligence, high perception energy-bomber; call him the Trashcan Man, or Cracker Jacks. Then, get addicted, deposit dynamite in a lot of pockets, and join the Boomers. Tag Repair, too.

Trashcan man sounds like a different experience than I'm used to, so I'll might just make him just for that reason. I try to avoid high luck builds, simply because energy weapons go from so-so to one hit kill machines, due to the higher crit rate.

I figured that whatever character build I go after shouldn't be limiting as much as trying to reach the same objectives in a different way. So, while I might not ever bother putting a point into medicine on Bubba, but I'll probably counter that with a focus on survival.
I wonder if no lockpicking/no hacking builds are any fun, or if they are just a long exercise in frustration, since it would block off a lot of passages and areas where I couldn't pickpocket of find a key.

If you've found any challenges builds particularly interesting because it made you appreciate a aspect of the game you'd mostly avoided until then, let it be known.

Is this a reference to Stephen King's "The Stand"?
