Dark Brotherhood Assasin and a thief, she experienced alot of pain and drama in her childhood. Explaining her character.
She is not evil though, she just can't handle her emotions. All part of a story i made up with the character.

She worships Arkay and Nocturnal.

Sounds like a nickname for Maven Black-Briar when she was a little girl. Personally I kind of dislike how every single Skyrim player who plays a girl seems to chose a name that ends in "a" for their character. Jenna, Aevina, Shiviana, Shyianna, Typelona, Hanna, Sara all of these I got after looking at the images section over at the Nexus in like 30 seconds. All their names sound like porm stars, and they all look like it too, so if that's what you're going for with the name Maevina - I'd say you did a stellar job =)

ending a name with an 'a' is a common language trait for the Feminine version of names where as names ending with 'o' are masculine.

Obviously, never said otherwise, I just said that personally I don't think it's very original.

Well Female Dark Elf names also happen to use the trait very widely Ex: Karliah

Why does it matter to you what people name their characters in SINGLE PLAYER GAMES? It doesn't affect you in any way, shape or form. So why decide to call the OP's character a porm star just because she has a name ending with 'a'?

Another fantastic reason to pick something else in my opinion, but obviously, it's your character and you should name it/her whatever pleases you =) And if that's Maevina then that's great

Oh come on, no reason to get agitated It doesn't matter to me, the OP asked what we think about the name, more specifically if it was a good Dunmer name and I replied. I guess I shouldn't have mentioned the whole porm star sound alike thing, I know alot of people play those characters and what I wrote could have pushed some buttons, I apologize.




Well, Drake Malice was right though, http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Category:Skyrim-Dunmer-Female like 60-70% of all the female dunmers in Skyrim have a name that ends in "a" it looks like so if you want your character to "blend in" so to speak that seems to be perfect.

Good name i hope she will be a mix of good and evil but with a bit more evil lol
