Well Done Developers!

I don't know if its just me but all I've seen so far on this forum is "Splash Damage hasn't done this or that in Brink"

I understand that a lot of people are disappointed from the changes that were made from the old version and the release version but I think, only in
my opinion (as everyone is entitled to it!) is that Brink has a lot of new stuff that has been developed just for this game.

Taking away the subject of the story mode issues; the core of the game still has a good engine within it, a movement system that is quite amazing and
it is still quite fun to play.

I think the main problem is that once most people came across a few problems they automatically compared it to games such as Call of Duty and Battlefield and
basically said "stuff it, I'm trading this in!" in which the first thing that I did upon noticing the server problems are instance, is that I just said to myself "They'll sort it" and played the story mode for awhile; a little way down the line and its fixed.

The point that I'm trying to make is that even though Brink may have hit just below the bar (as some people think while others don't) I think that Splash Damage and Dice have still created quite an amazing game based upon an amazing concept and furthermore that, in time, the idea of Brink will be developed, altered and further processed as sequels/DLC are produced.

So despite the "uproar", I would still like to say that the developers have still done an amazing job and well done. =)

I'm trying to stop elaborating on things quite as much, so I'll just say "I agree".

I think you're right, even the halos had their flaws when the series was starting out, there was still more that could've been done. I'm thinking and hoping that this is the start of a strong series.

its a new IP and people knock it... new IPs have problems... especially in a genre that's become so bland ... people hate change...

Man I loathe cookie cutters in everything. Except maybe baking.

People often complain that it's not revolutionary enough for them. Like it was promised. Like it was hyped up to be.

I think it was pretty new. Like the American Revolution it started small. 4 years from now people will be putting out games and BRINK may be the first of many games to offer us something different. A new idea is not a failure, packaging an old idea and saying it's new is.

Didn't Left 4 Dead only have 4 missions?
If so, the cool thing about that is that zombies spawn in different locations.
hhhmmmm... kinda like how in BRINK people will come through different choke points, use different tactics, come in smaller or larger waves.

Love to see a sequel.
