Well, it finally happened....

Post » Fri Jun 08, 2012 7:35 pm

Well it finally happened. I finally dropped my loot on the outskirts of Riverwood, and a small girl approached me and said something like "hey Mr, you dropped something" and handed me my sword. I talked about this in other threads of being promised this by Todd and people were saying it was never implememted. Nobody said they saw this and it was thought it wasn't implemented in the final game, so it was a bit of a shock for it to happen. I swored this feature was taken out, because other people never saw it happened and suggested it was cut.

So this got me thinking, have you finally seen something in the game that was promised or said would be in the game and haven't seen it for a long time and thought it was cut out of the game and it finally happened?

Umm didnt they promise that someone would pick up the weapon and use it for themselves rather than return it? Yes Ive seen them return it (a piece of Silver Ore) but I remember something else was supposed to happen.

Anywho, I remember we were promised random Dragon attacks but on a good day only 1 in every 3 Dragons will actually come down and fight.

The npc was a small girl and didn't know any better. An advlt would have took the sword and sold it.

Nice feature :) Usually in games no one never notices anything you do, unless you attack them

I've had NPCs take things I've dropped for themselves. (Sometimes they ask if they can have it.) I've also had NPCs fight over things I've dropped.

I waited ages for a duel, thought they might have forgotten about them. Then in Winterhold, some random wizard attacks me in the street (if you can call it a street with the size of that town). Cool. Wizard flambé. I go to the College, finish up the business there, get back to town, another random guy in mage robes. "No way, all this time waiting, then it happens twice in a row", I think. No, even better, restoration was my highest skill, and this mage wants me to teach him about ward spells. That is the radiant story when it's working at it's best.

Consider yourself damned lucky then my friend. On both of my accounts, a level 73 and a level 76, its still only 1 in 3 on a good day.

Oh ya and I also never seen Dragons pick people up off the ground and fly away with them.

One thing that happened for me that was new was Lydia using a staff I never gave to her. I wondered if companions would pick up weapons like they do in FNV but had never seen it. Now I know they can do it. I'll have to keep an eye on things though because I don't know if she'll throw it away if the charge is completely depleted. :tes:

I dropped a set of fine clothes on the floor and my housecarl (Agnis) approached me "Hey can I have that armor you dropped?" Kind of not armor, but still a nice touch.

I've had it before in Marthol where I've ended up over encumbered and had to drop a fair bit of stuff in the street only for a guard to actually, tell me off for dropping wepons in the street because it could be dangerous and then when I did it again the same guard gave me a fine. I nearly shot him in the knee with an arrow.

This is indeed the case... which is a shame.
Spoiler
not really a spoiler but for those that don't know about it may be bummed out by the prospect but you'll only physically see werewolves by doing the Companions quests... yet there are no quest lines to join the Silver Hand and become a werewolf hunter
which is another area in which it could be said that Bethesda dropped the ball.

I forgot this one- I was in town and used the dragon shout that shows you where live creatures are. I used it twice while I was in town and a guard approached me and asked me to stop as it was scaring the citizens.
