Crossbows are not tied to joining the dawnguard faction it seems?

The castle will still be a benifit to joining the dawnguard.

It could be, but I like to think like I do for any other weapon - just kill the guard and loot it . Though, I don't like Vampires since I'm a Melee / Bow type of player so I'll stick with Dawnguard ^^

My thoughts? There appears to be this strange asymmetry between the two opposing factions: The EMO people get new powers, perks and an island? The Dawnguard get a nifty Castle. But perhaps they have not disclosed everything, or so I would guess.

The guy at 3:35 is clearly a Dawnguard.

I'm sure as a vampire you CAN get one, but they won't be common at Draculas castle.

I was thinking the same as you pretty much. It seems the vampires get to have a lot more.

That interviewer was very annoying and he would not stop interrupting Todd Howard.
I'm going to join the vamps instead of the Dawnguard, I just cant pass up those amazing powers.

He turned into a Vampire Lord. There's no way he's a Dawnguard.
