I think the devs weren't ready to fully commit to werebears just yet, and just wanna do it right, and in the mean time gave us summonable werebears and enemy ones, maybe for a future dlc. If this is true, it's for the best so werebears don't feel tacked on. Meaning maybe they'll get a faction and new lore.
If they're never put in, then I guess it was a sort of easter egg joke type thing.

Idk about new lore but a faction isn't out of the question. They have "put" things in the game and used them in later DLC, so maybe Werebears will be added later?

I'll be honest, I don't think they will. I know that I said that they might've put them in but not made them playable for a future dlc, but that is me being optimistic. It seems to me like them putting them in like this is them saying "here, now shut up" but I could be wrong. Maybe they really did put them in to "test the water" so to speak. Who knows? I don't think we can really say one way or the other.
Yes. Its a game forum. If you don't like the topic don't get on it and comment. Problem fixed.
That wasnt my point... It just seems like eveyrhting that could be said for both the ' I hate bethesda' and 'dragonborn is awesome' sides have said all that can be said without boiling down into a flame war that would make even Dagon turn away.

That isn't what this is. It is just pondering on why they are not playable. Take another look at the title.
But its a continuation of the previous thread... as per the title and we all know how THAT went.
Look im not having a go at anyone, im just praying this all goes away.
I didn't see any flamewars in that one. I may have missed the "I hate beth" part. Either way, there's none here now, so as it stands, there's no problem. Lets keep it that way.

Just imagine if they released Skyrim with Werewolves like this? Boy thats be alot of "hate" for Beth. That why I don't get this not letting us play as a Werebear or use a Spear and why I think they will soon let us do both.

It's not...until Werebears are playable and we can thrust a spear into a dragons chest.

Yeah. I don't recall any "I hAtE BeFesDer" posts and thats not what this topic is about in anyway. Just a question as to why we can't simply play as a Werebear or use a spear.

The spear thing...lol. What a funny funny prank, if it is one of course. They may have done it as a little haha easteregg thing, but its really really hard for me not to see that as a response to all the requests and anti beth people for not having spears in Oblivion and Skyrim. What do you think? Maybe I'm being unfair to them? Even if they didn't mean it as a mean joke, it seems obvious that some would take it as such so its hard for me to believe they didn't see that coming.

Yeah. Like I've said before It's like Bethesda putting a big ol cookie jar out there and telling us "Nope you wanted cookies but you can't have any."
The simple fact is- the Devs should at least explain things. I've always found it disturbing that Bethesda is needlessly quiet about their process, whether it be the progress of the PS3 DLC or the implementation of spears and were-bears. I mean, if they're being quiet about it simply because they DO indeed plan on implementing useable spears/were-bears and don't want to give anything away for future DLC- then fine. That's awesome. But If that's not the case, then a simple explanation for the lack thereof would be nice. Nothing like keeping a good rapport w/ the fans.

Yes. Why can't Beth come out and say " Hey this is why we did this." I recall a time when ol vsions gave a direct reason as to why Beth hasn't tried lunar transformation, so why cant Beth tell us why Werebears and Spears are the way they are??
Probably will, but I doubt that'll change their mind, if they chose not to ever put them in for Skyrim.
I was hoping that Beth would have them in for the release of Hobbit and maybe have an Easter Egg of Beorn. Maybe after the next two movies are released??
