Werewolf: Chandler Manor
(Sign-Up)

Introduction

Welcome to Werewolf!

Werewolf, in its most simplest form, is a murder mystery game where a battle of the wits ensues between the Innocents and the Werewolves. The wolves are attempting to kill off the innocents and lead them off their path while doing so, while the Innocents try to use clues, roles, and key items to sniff the wolves out of hiding.

To kill a player who you to believe to be a wolf, simply vote to execute them. However, people aren't willing to accept them as a wolf if you don't provide evidence. For that player to die, a certain amount of players must vote for his/her execution. Every night, the Wolves claim another victim, and every three nights, they add one wolf to their pack.

The last team standing, Wins.

Setting;

After the mysterious disappearance of her entire family, and the recent occupation of some foreseen force within her Manor, Marie Chandler has called for help from near and far to assist the grieving widow in finding peace.

Her Manor, Isolated from all forms of Civilization in the rolling plains of Georgia, hosts many items of mystic proportions. In the center of the grand estate, lies a spectacular tree, standing over fifty feet tall and decorated with a large amount of Christmas ornaments.

The Tree is sacred to the Chandler Family; No matter what occurred, the family always found a way to meet for Christmas. The tree has been planted in the center of the Estate for the past twenty years.

Marie has promised that whoever can assist her in properly investigating the Manor will be rewarded greatly; The price not being specified, but it is estimated to be somewhere in the Millions.

Thanks to her claim, she has attracted the attention of millions, hoping to earn the grand prize. However, only a select few will be chosen to visit the Illustrious Manor and get a shot at the prize.

How to Join

Joining couldn't be any simpler. You simply fill out a Character Sheet, read over the rules, and take your chances in the game. More players are always welcome.

Character Sheet

Name:

Age: Make sure your age is appropriate.

Height:

Build: Heavy/average/light, you can post specific numbers, but a general idea of what shape your body is will be better.

Hair Color: Brown, blond, salmon, etc

General Physical Description: Clothes/anything else you want us to know.

Occupation: When your character isn't getting mauled by Wolves, what do they do?

Possessions: Please list 3-5 things your character has with them.

Personality: How does your character tend to act? At least three different traits are required, including how they behave under pressure.

History: Where does your character come from? Whats their background? Include as much or as little as you desire.

How to voice your Opinion
Here is the basic layout for how to talk within Werewolf

Marie Chandler

Hey, guys, look at the Evidence pointing at him! (This is talking)

I say we kill HIM, Search the Storage Room, and use the Snowflake! (This is voting)

OOC: Guys, I won't be on for a while. Sorry. (This is talking out of character)

Voting;

Every Day, the Innocents get to vote on who to execute, where to search, and what special Item to use.

You will only be allowed to submit one vote a day for Execution. You may Retract your vote at any time, until the day is over.

Searching

Each day, the innocents get to choose what to do with the daylight hours available to them.

You vote to Search a Area of the Manor.

The Innocents are given TWO USE POINTS. Some searches will require all two use points, some will require one.

Events;

During the Course of the Game, certain players may experience visions, witness events, or discover Clues that no one else may know about. You may keep these tidbits of information to yourself, or share with the rest of the Innocents.

However, revealing key information about a certain wolf will most definitively result in a giant Target being painted across your back.

Roles;

Innocent Roles;

Innocent; Just some regular old Joe.

Angel; A supernatural being from the heavens, gifted with the skillset to protect those who cannot protect themselves. Every night, an Angel chooses someone to protect.

Sneak; Is given the ability to perform a personal search every other day; Role of the Player is then revealed.

Grave-Digger; A being with the ability to speak through a medium, which allows him to communicate with the Dead. He is able to speak with one dead player through PMs.

Werewolf Roles;

Arch Wolf; The leader of the Pack. He will send me the PMs of who to kill, and will coordinate with the other wolves. He will also be responsible for all Conversions.

Wolf; The hellhound of the Devil himself.

Rules;

1. Quoted material MUST be accurate. No editing player profiles for your own ends. If you want to lie, paraphrase, but anything in quotes must be accurate (this does not apply to visions)

2. No editing out votes.

3. No PMing other members

4. Revealing your role in the thread is fine, but you will not be allowed to receive protection

5. If you have a problem with another player (or the host), talk to me. Don't bring it up in the thread.

6. All votes must be clear in Text. Votes must be bolded and in Red.

Daily Activities;

Day Change- Each day will last 24 hours from 11:00 PM to that time, the next day. This represents the daylight hours of the game day. All events that take place during the night are covered in the end of the day post

* Voting- Any player can vote at anytime, but only one vote per day will be counted. Voting will end at 11:00 PM EST. Any votes after that will not be counted. If <20% of players vote, no execution will take place. If there is a tie, and >50% both players will be executed, if there is a tie and there is a <50% vote, nobody will die. Please Bold your votes, if you do not, I will not count them. Players will also vote on a person to receive protection from the wolves. If a player receives 25% or more of the protection vote than they will be immune from wolf attacks and conversions.

* Execution- Once a day, if voting dictates that there will be an execution, a player will be executed.

* Murder- Once a day, the werewolves get to kill someone. This can be anyone, including another werewolf.

* Conversions- Every few days the Arch will get the chance to convert some to their side.
Daily Schedule

1. The innocents vote on where to search and who to kill. The Sneak PMs the Host a Target.

2. Depending on the votes, someone may or may not be executed. Angels protect;

3. Conversion.

4. Werewolf Murder and Sneak searches. If the Sneak searches a victim or a wolf they will witness the murder. If the Angel protects a victim they will receive information about the attack.

Last Regards;

While I have only participated in four Werewolf games, I feel I have a firm understanding of what Werewolf is all about, and how I could go about hosting it in the best possible way.

This will be my first time Hosting. I know, I am expected to mess up at certain points, so please, bear with me. :)

Lastly, I could really use a Co-Host. Anyone who is interested can just say so.

Name: Ted Jefferson

Age: Make sure your age is appropriate.

Height: 6''0''

Build: 175 lbs. Not very muscular, and perhaps a bit doughy around the edges.

Hair Color: Short brown hair

General Physical Description: Brown beard, he wears a brown three-piece corduroy suit, but brought a change of clothes: jeans a green flannel shirt.

Occupation: An dendrologist, Ted teaches Forestry Management at an agriculture school in the northeast. He came on this expedition basically to take notes (and admire) the tree.

Possessions: A pen made out of cherry-wood which he carries in his briast-pocket, a pack of Camel cigarettes, a zippo lighter with an engraving of an evergreen tree on it, and a leather notebook for sketches.

Personality: Ted is very outgoing, humorous, and easy-going. He loves being outdoors, in the woods, and is an avid sportsman. He is fun-loving and kind in general, and likes to be befriend everyone. He loves trees.

History: Ted has always liked trees and nature. He thought that he had wanted to own his own nursery when he grew up, but it didn't work out, so he's doing the next-best thing, teaching forest preservation in college.

OOC: OP will you please elaborate on the tree a little bit so my character doesn't sound like an idiot asking about it?

I'm in, let's do this. I'd strongly advise against allowing angels to block executions, though.

I agree, though only a stupid angel would want to protect someone with a considerable amount of evidence against them.

Mornings if you can; But I don't believe most of the players are active then.

I also have a tendency to fall asleep pretty early, so maybe a little later in the night.

So if the angels are correct in their protection they will loose the ability forthe next day?

Mr. E mentioned it in the last thread. Thought I removed it.

Fixed. :sweat:

Name: Ian Moreau
Age: 20
Height: 6’1”
Build: Tall and skinny, Ian is just the type of person you assume is prone to tripping over himself and other awkward falls. You wouldn’t be wrong. In a word, gangly.
Hair Color: Brown
General Physical Description: Tall and skinny with medium length brown hair and a wardrobe full of “ironic” shirts and jeans a bit too tight for his own good.
Occupation: College Student
Possessions: His iPod, MacBook pro, and messenger bag equipped, Ian arrived at Chandler Manor- obnoxious lanyard with loud jangly keys comfortably in pocket- feeling comfort that he wouldn’t have to interact with the rubes from the south. To ensure this he also brought much of his schoolwork and thus his bag is filled with papers and textbooks.
Personality: Ian can be described basically as aloof, condescending, and stand offish. He doesn’t work well in groups because of this and has a very low amount of respect for authority. Under pressure Ian quickly becomes sloppy, trying to get the job done and get out, no longer concerned about the quality of what he does.
History: Living a fairly boring life- growing up in a boring family in a boring neighborhood, in a boring town, in a boring state- Ian eventually went off to college. He decided to come to the manor for the money that is always in short supply when living the college life.
