Werewolf Companion

Wouldn't it be cool to have one? One that actually transforms into a werewolf, but only Iif you tell them too, or if you transform first?

It would be awesome to have a brother of the hunt. :)

Get a whole pack of werewolves and terrorize the city. I would be in heaven if that happened.

Sinding should have been available as a companion after rescuing him. But yes it would be nice to have a werewolf companion. Isn't there one available through the Companions questline ??

I agree. Especially since there are three werewolf followers already. Who just I guess don't feel like transforming?
Or Sindig, he could've made a good follower.

My first character used Vilkas for a follower almost exclusively, but didn't do the cure quests. The very first time we left Whiterun together we headed west down the road and a dragon attacked near the Western Watchtower. The guards were shooting arrows at him and I was running around doing basically nothing except maybe shouting (and I didn't have many shouts that would've been effective at that point) because I hadn't figured out the value of archery yet.

Anyway I lost track of Vilkas very quickly in all the confusion, at some point the dragon landed and was fighting... something. Before I could get close enough to do anything to it, it died. I mean, almost immediately, and I don't think any of the guards got that close to it either.

So, it's dead, I'm standing there absorbing the soul, and when that's done a guard walks up to me and says, "Maybe I'm imagining things, but... I could've sworn I saw a werewolf."

About two seconds later Vilkas comes running up from wherever he'd been. Since he was my follower, I know he was fighting the dragon, but... I never saw him or heard *any* of his combat dialogue during the fray. So I've always kinda wondered if he transformed and I just missed it. If not, it was a very weird coincidence. And I've never again heard a guard say that, altho once I join the Circle I get the other comments that come from that all the time.

That is very cool. I mean maybe the guards just make that comment around members of the Circle, but then again maybe not? Either way, Vilkas is quite the dragon slayer.

I had one with console commands on PC. I just hired a mercenary, made a ring that gave werewolf tranformations and then gave it to my follower.

Really? Dammit, I shouldn't have cured him...

That character DID however give the Ring of Hircine to Aela. Maybe I should take her out hunting if I let that character come back from her vacation... ;)

Then I must tell the tale of how Mr Tough Guy Vilkas turned into a complete wuss.

I did Dragon Seekers with him, and got that lair on the peak above Labyrinthian (Skyborn Altar I think). We were almost there when another dragon started circling above us, not yet attacking.
Suddenly I hear someone shouting for help. And didn't it sound like Vilkas...? I looked around, saw no one except Vilkas behind me. Well, I thought, that VA does like half of the male voices in Skyrim, so probably someone else is around here somewhere.
The dragon flew off, we started walking up towards Labyrinthian. I'm absolutely sure there was no one else but us around when the dragon returned.
"Help!"
What?
"Somebody slay the dragon!"
Definitely Vilkas.
Now WTF? YOU asked ME to seek out a dragon for you to slay, now I get you an extra dragon as a little warm-up before we meet the levelled one in the lair, and you turn into a complete coward?

Anyway, I don't remember the details, but we ended up in that little mining village nearby, Stonehills or something, where the dragon attacked for real, and then Vilkas finally remembered who he was and charged in as enthusiastic as usual. Afterwards, he was very surprised when I absorbed the dragon soul, which was kind of amusing, since one might have thought that a wife tells her husband some minor things about herself, like being Dragonborn and such. :P

snip
He didn't want to fight that dragon, he wanted to fight the other one. It's totally different.

I tend to come across Vilkas out in the wilderness fighting random enemies. For instance, I ran into him once in the Hjaalmarch fist-fighting a pair or master vampires. Or the time I found him killing a dragon with Ria out in the Rift. Man lives for the hunt.

Heh, in my games he seems to focus on sabre cats. The character who's married to him keeps him on a short leash, however, she doesn't want him running around in the woods alone with Ria. And (apart from spending time with his beloved wife) he gets to fight lots of dragons when he's travelling with her, so he doesn't mind :P

That's probably wise, Ria's intentions may not be entirely pure.

And how do you think my character ended up married to him AND having 100 in 2H-skill long before maxing out any other skills? She knows exactly what trainign can lead to. Hence: short leash. ;)
