--Introduction--

Hello and welcome to Werewolf: Vectors.

Something a little new this time: Woolly and I (BFME) are teaming up to host this game. The last game played was Werewolf: Vampire Villa.

Werewolf is a murder mystery where your objective is to kill the other team. The 2 teams, werewolves and innocents, have different ways to achieve this objective.

Every day lasts for 22 hours from 11pm EST to 9pm EST. Each night the arch-wolf will PM me a target to kill. I will use the wolves’ profiles to leave evidence against them on the write-up and it will be the innocent’s job to hunt them down and execute them. During the day it is the wolves’ job to mislead the innocents and stay alive for as long as possible. Everyone has one execution vote. Everyone has one vote for special items. If it matters, I'll establish that votes cast in the 59 seconds between 9:00pm and 9:01pm count.

--Setting--

Present-day university in NYC. You are all collegiate students in some sense, invited to visit a world-class genetics lab on your campus. A little clumsiness ends tragically.

--Joining--

Joining the game is as simple as filling out the character sheet below. Your character is not someone for you to roleplay, because this game is not a roleplay. Your character should be a voice for you to speak through. Everything you know, your character knows. I reserve the right to make any changes as I see fit.

Name: Self explanatory.
Age: 13+
Gender: Also self explanatory.
Height/Build: Please post in feet / Please use words like heavy, slim, average, etc
General Appearance: What do you, in general, look like?
Occupation: What does your character do when he or she’s not studying? I will allow just "student" as the occupation.
Major: What's your academic major?
Possessions: 3-5 items. Note that weapons give you no extra powers in game.
General Personality: How does your character tend to act (especially under pressure)? Include at least four traits.
Hobbies: When your character isn’t being chased by werewolves, what does he or she like to do?
History: Where does your character come from? Please use no more than four lines.

--Roles--
There are only innocents and Angels.


Angel(s):
-An otherworldly figure charged with protecting those who cannot protect themselves from the true evil among them.
? Every day, the Angel will PM the host with the name of whom they wish to protect.
? If the Angel protects someone targeted for attack, the attack fails.
? If the Angel protects someone targeted for conversion, the conversion is blocked.

***When an angel is converted, he or she loses his or her powers.***


Evil Roles

Werewolf:
-An innocent tainted by the mark of true evil and darkness to prowl the world as a fiendish hound.
? Werewolves and the Arch Wolf are allowed to PM each other freely.

Arch Wolf:
-The leader of the pack and thus the strongest and biggest. He rules his underlings as he sees fit.
? The Arch Wolf and werewolves are allowed to PM each other freely.
? Each day, not including conversions, the Arch Wolf will PM the host with the name of a character to be killed. Unless that character is protected by an Angel, the character will be killed.
? Upon the death of the Arch Wolf, the oldest surviving werewolf will take his place.

--Procedure--

I'll post a writeup about what happened last night.. Then, during the day, you (the players) will proceed to sift through the clues, ask me questions, and decide who the murderers amongst you are. Of course, the bad guys will be devious and try to get you off their trail. You vote for the person you wish to have executed, what special item you want, and those with roles will PM the host with the decisions for their power for that day.

Each day will end at 9:00pm EDT, and the writeup will be posted once I've sent out PMs and finished writing it. From there, you vote and ask your questions, and Woolly or I will answer them ASAP.

Only one special item used per day.


Conditional voting and voting deferral will not be allowed in this game.

Once voting has closed, the player with the most votes against him/her will be executed. There is a 20% voting requirement, otherwise no execution will occur that night. If there is a tie in the votes, and 60% of the players have voted, both will be executed.

Nightly events follow this template:

1. Mob executes.
2. Mob uses special item.
3. Angel(s) protect.
4. Wolves murder/convert.

Do you have any idea when you are going to start the game? I am going on vacation from the 30th through the 1st and am wondering if I should sit this one out.

Age: 19
Gender: Male
Height/Build: Average build, about 6'2"
General Appearance: Short blond hair, glasses, blue eyes, usually wears a white button-up shirt and khaki pants.
Academic Major: Programming and Robotics
Occupation: He works as a pizza delivery boy.
Possessions: A pocket-knife his father gave him as a boy, a notebook and pen, and his wallet that has about 25 dollars in it.
General Personality: James is a very quiet and shy person who will speak when necessary, but it's always kinda quiet/soft. He doesn't work well under pressure, and can have panic attacks when there's too much pressure.
Hobbies: James likes to read and write science fiction, play video games, and likes to hack, being a hacktivist.
History: James grew up in Ottowa, Canada, until the age of twelve, at which point he and his parents moved to a small town in New York. In both schools he was tormented and bullied, but in college he is mostly ignored.

Clintos, I think we're planning to start quite soon, once we amass a good set of players. I don't think we would cut it so close to the 30th that you would need to worry

I'm sure you were going to address this thoroughly in the near future, but could you give us an idea of ...
1. how the host-assistant roles will work?
2. the implementation of special items?

Beast, a quick question that I should've asked yesterday: do you want us to include what our characters are studying in the occupation line? Or would you rather there be a new line for majors?

And Clintos: as long as you don't go three game days without posting, you'll be fine. I've played well in plenty of games where I've missed weekends (don't use last game as an example of this from me though...)

Sure:

The host-assistant will be a character in the game (cannot be killed or converted, does not have a vote) but knows way way more than the usual player, as in he has all the evidence and details, and can answer questions. He can do anything except PM, and we're considering midday additional writeups from the assistant as well to keep things moving.

As for the special items, they basically replace geographical searches; you vote on a special item instead, and the item's effects determine the amount and type of evidence you uncover. It will be revealed what the items are/do once the game starts.

Ah I like that, yeah let's make a new line for your major.
That being said, I'll allow you to just say "student" for occupation if you don't want your character to do anything else. Some students have jobs too though.

So Nextmastermind, if you could add an academic major, that'd be great.

History: He is a native to New York. Both of his parents died when he was 15, he didn't care too much. He now lives with his rich grandmother who is paying for his education.

Possessions: A Blackberry cellphone, a rare Finnish brand of hair gel, a manila folder filled with blackmail material for the universities professors and fellow students.
General Personality: Is always willing to lie, cheat, and steal to end up on top but has a weak spot for those he deems friends. Very powerful speaker, easily bending others to his will. Master of using logical fallacies to his advantage.Can make inspirational speeches for any situation. Is also excessively vain.
Hobbies:Drinking,Working on his appearance, Collecting blackmail material, and helping his "friends"
History: Jeff worked as a lawyer at the age of 22. For 6 years he was very successful in his field but it was eventually discovered he had a fraudulent degree from a carnival college.He was disbarred and forced to go back to University to get a proper degree in law. His class was taken to the genetics lab as a field trip to anolyze the legal ramifications of such a facility.
