WerewolfVampire Skilltree

Post » Mon Jun 11, 2012 8:00 am

After reading alost of threads about Werewolf, vampire DLC and here is what i think Bethesda should do about them.
First of all both Werewolves and Vampire in Skyrim are way to weak and have to many flaws. The werewolf becomes useless above level 25 since his fear roar doesnt affect most enemies anymore and the claws will do alot less damage than normal weapons. Also the lack of armor becomes a problem,so youll get killed with one or two blows usually. And Vampires are only good for sneaky builds. The Vampire feeding ability in combat would be great. You get stronger while drinking your enemies bloods for example.Werewolfs and Vampire would need a skill tree to boost Armor and damage or have your vampire run faster something like this.Or they could make a skill tree for shapeshifting in general and include the Vampire lord from the Game Jam vid.So you could change into a more bat like vampire. This would also help with a Werebear form. So,a shapeshifter skill tree (or whatever you want to call it)could be a very good solution to cover werewolves/bears and a bat like vampire lord form to make both stronger.

So please Bethesda if you read this, think about it.

I doubt they will make a vampire/werewolf focused DLC, as not everyone plays as either of those so it'll only affect a certain number of people.

They will probably release new landmasses, which may bring about tweaks but not massive overhauls.

I dont know how many play as/with vampire/werewolfs but maybe most dont play it becouse they're both weak.I stoped playing my werewolf after level 36 it become useless. So bethesda should do something about it.Why include something thats only nice to look at and play once but get useless the longer you play.Makes no sense...its like having a good looking car but without good engine.

Werewolves aren't weak, vampires are. At level 45, base claw damage is 80, that's higher than most One-Handed Weapons (unless you make your weapons overpowered). Werewolves hit much faster than even dual wielders can and they can easily stagger almost any enemy. This is great on Expert and Master difficulties when you're about to face a really tough boss like a Draugr Death Overlord. I had to fight one at level 30, and I couldn't do it. So I transformed into a Werewolf and kept knocking back the Overlord and his two Scourge minions until I killed them all. This would not have been possible in Human form with the equipment that I had.

Thats becouse they are slow and dont do much other than use shouts and those can be avoided easily. But try to battle a high lavel ice mage for example,no no...youll get killed fast as a werewolf, very fast and even without improved weapons i make alot more dmg and still have better protection than a werewolf.

I would like to see a 'Nature of the Beast' type perk for werewolves. Like it could make it so your character can feed on the dead in human form and get some skills from the werewolf perk tree: Like if there was a defence type perk (couldn't remember the name from the game jam) it would give you 25% of the level your werewolf defence perk is set at. Could be used with the werewolf mele damage perk for the people who love fighting with h2h too? Of course still can't use howls until in beast form.

I mean feeding only lasts for a 2 or 3 hours then you need to feed again as a human.

It seems as though you want to make werewolves invincible. They're already powerful as they are. They aren't meant to tank and kill every single enemy in the game. If they were, bethesda would have twice as many complaints on them being overpowered.

The only thing i would change is the scaling of the roar powers.

Other than that they are right where they should be.

I'm always a Werewolf and I personally would love a DLC just for Werewolves and Vampires.

Btw, he said DLC. Not an Expansion. Someone said the DLC should include massive land etc. That's an Expansion. A DLC is a small add-on or huge list of small updates into a game. Common DLCs for Oblivion were new houses, really. That's pretty small and not everyone will use them.

Back to the topic, Lycan Perk Tree for Werewolves and Werebears. Ability to become Werewolves and Werebears via the Wild (NOT companions) and much more. My only issue I want fix for Werewolves is the Armor one. That's all.

As for vampires. I don't care. I hate bloodsvckers.
