Look. It's a dog-eat-dog world out there.

But no, seriously, this is a common complaint. It's not one I can weigh in on personally because I refuse to be a werewolf; however, I've seen commentary to the effect that werewolves are a hit-and-run playstyle, -not- a tank-and-spank. You need to liberally use fear, for example.

Werewolves aren't really that strong (I heard Dawnguard changes this). You HAVE to use the fear totem inorder for enemies to constantly be fleeing you and thus not attacking. This being said, not all enemies are affected by fear (giants), and I have yet to find a way to deal with such enemies as a werewolf.

Btw, did the Dawnguard werewolf perk-tree make them a bit more useful in the higher levels?

Giants are easy. Sprint past them and hit your attack button while sprinting when you are next to them. If it hits, the attack will knock them over, and you can hack and slash away until they get up, and even then, a normal power attack will knock them over too.

Yes. You can get more bonuses to health and stamina, improved health regen from feeding, several damage increases, improvements to all 3 totems, and even gain the ability to feed on most creatures instead of just the sentient races.

You'll need to use your howl on a frequent basis and use your power attack critical while sprinting to deal the most damage. Dont bother taking on enemies one on one youll get slaughtered - remmember you got no armor or health regen.

Genereally speaking the only reason i choose to be a werewolf is cos of the novelty factor and the fact that its a nice change from my usual playstyle, with the new upgrades that came with dawnguard youll find it easier to be a werewolf at higher levels for defo.
