How amazing is it that a simple organism can produce something with those kinds of properties with it's own body?
Simple? Hardly. In fact, there really aren't "simple" organisms.

The only amazing fact of nature I can think of right now is that it exists.
A gross fact of nature, not to mention a surprising one, is a dog's hunting instinct. The example I immediately think of is just recently my dog killed a rabbit, ate ONLY it's hind legs, and left it as a present on my porch. He's never been taught how to hunt, just his natural instinct.
It was also apparently his natural instinct to use the floor in front of the door as a toilet when he got sick from said rabbit whilst I was out. Clearly he set a trap for me, expecting me to step in it when I got home. :sadvaultboy:
