I have a few games that I consider a cut above all the rest.

1. Age of Empires II: The Age of Kings. Possibly the best RTS ever made, and one of the very first games I ever played and was ever addicted to.

2. Jet Force Gemini. My all time favorite N64 game and constant wish for transport to the Wii Virtual Console and I will forever be disappointed because Rare decided to jump ship and make Xbox Live avatars instead and burned all of their old games in the process. Why Rare? WHY?

3. The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind. No introduction needed. Consumed thousands of hours of my life, and I would do it all over again too.

4. Star Wars; Knights of the Old Republic. Temporary-life-consuming-Star-Wars-fanboysim the game.

5. Company of Heroes. Not only a superb RTS but the single best WW2 game ever made, including FPS ones.

Honorable mention:
Super Street Fighter IV
Beyond Good And Evil
Pokemon
Rune Factory 3
Homeworld
Uncharted
GTA: San Andreas
Diablo II

My favorite games would be:

Dark Forces 2: Jedi Knight - My introduction to video games and star wars games in particular, not to mention that it's one of the best star wars games ever made
Jedi Outcast - Very cool action game, best lightsaber combat I have ever experienced.
Knights of the Old Republic - THE best star wars game ever made, and my introduction to Bioware games
Mass Effect 2 - not much to be said here. Those to love it know why I included it, those who don't will never understand.
Morrowind - my first elder scrolls game, and my favorite game of all time.
Age of Empires - THE best strategy game ever made
Heroes of Might and Magic 3 - one of my first games and a great inspiration when I wanted to play with my friends as a kid.
The Witcher - One of the best rpg's I've ever seen. A close contestant to Morrowind as being my favorite game of all time.
GTA: San Andreas - IMO, the best GTA game ever.

I know right? I would go out right now and buy an Xbox 360 just for JFG if they remade it for that. Or another Wii. Hell I'd buy ANY console they put it on.

1. Crusader Kings: Deus Vult (I've sunk so many hours into building my realm, and yet have yet to fight the Mongols)

2. Demon's Souls (For reasons that it is utter badassness)

3. Secret of Mana (This game has done more to shape my view as a gamer than any other)

4. Ocarina of Time (Very enjoyable, challenging, and memorable game that sticks with you for years afterwards)

5. Uncharted 2 (Something about being a wise-cracking action-hero really gets my blood going for ACTION!)

1. Fable tlc
2. Fallout new vegas
3. Alpha protocal
4. Metro 2033
5. Mass effect 1

There are other great games, but I have a small collection after selling most of them, these are my favorites I still own. Except fable tlc becuase it broke.

Metro and AP are new games, but AP was great and I am replaying it again soon. Metro has an amazing atmosphere and I have already replayed it twice in 3 days, I plan to play it again tomorrow trying to get the enlightened ending.

4. Final Fantasy XII

aww jeah

my favorite games change like every other day but as of right now i think

1) Morrowind
2) STALKER (all three)
3) Thief (first two)
4) Quest for Glory (all five)
5) Tetris

is the most accurate. there's stuff like Silent Hunter and the X series and FF12 and Fallout 3 and Mirror's Edge and Hotel Dusk and lots and lots more but it's hard to really assign a number to that stuff.

the top five is something that hasn't changed in a long time, and likely won't change anytime soon, though STALKER and Morrowind are always competing for top billing.
