what are you hoping for in the 1.5 patch?

Post » Sun Jun 10, 2012 7:38 am

Persoanlly I would like some of the balance issues fixed; the game gets real easy near those high levels and some form of control over enchanting.

You?

He basically wants to know what you think should be fixed in 1.5 that ISN'T being fixed in 1.4
Well I want to see the New Game saving option fixed. When you start a new game, it resets your first profile you started. Not always, but it happens and you are just screwed if it happens. It's an annoyance to have to make a totally new PS3 profile to be able to start a new game safely. Not sure if this happens on the 360 or PC, but I know it happens to a lot of PS3 users.

Hopefully they fix the Dead Thralls disappearing, yet leaving a spell effect in your active effects list that causes almost every NPC you walk by to say "That spell looks dangerous. Keep your distance!" or something similar. This is affecting one of my characters right now.

On xbox it groups all saves together and overwrites auto saves. So if you finish a game with 30 saves first save next game will be 31. Kind of a pain you have to really pay attention to what slot you save in. or you end up over writing the wrong things.

Elder Scrolls has never really been about balance. They are usually tough in the begining then after a certain point you become godly, I think the only game it didn't happen that way was Oblivion. Which of course drew a lot of criticism for its attempt at scaling.

Some kind of fix that prevents quests from being broken if I accidentally pick up an item in a dungeon that's related to a quest that I have yet to start, and can't put it back since the item is a quest item and permanently stuck in my inventory. Many of the radiant quests will send the player to the same dungeon, and this can be hard to prevent without looking the quest or dungeon up online in advance. Luckily, I save before entering any dungeon, in case.

Have followers level up with the dragonborn, so those followers who are recruited early on don't become a liability later on in the game. (I've read about the wabbajack trick, but a patch to fix that issue would be nice)

I think balance for everything is fine except destruction and conjuration people will be disappointed if there fav skill becomes weaker. I think destruction really needs to be fixed and conjuration too needs to be stronger maybe I wouldn't notice the conjuration issues if destruction did it's job however

I'm hoping that 1.5 comes with a puppy, and that it comes after 1.4.

TES has never been about balance

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gkc3h9pdeM8

that spell can be custom made without any mods ( to my knowledge).... one of the things i found most fun about past tes games is that i can find ways to make spells/enchantments that are amazing. I just have to think through the effects. My only fault with skyrim in this regard is that it is to easy. You had to put quite a bit of time into morrowind/oblivion to be able to do the crazy enchantments/spells

Wait, what? I haven't heard of this, sounds like something I should know - I'm on PS3. If I started a new character, are you saying that it's possible my original character would be overwritten?

Ability to change the keyboard layout so that it actually works ingame.
Removal of the redundant quest items which are stuck in my inventory.
Fix miscellaneous journal quests which can't be completed.
Eliminate all Louis Letrush clones.
Make horses flee rather than fight.
Fix the constant 'stuttering' which appeared after the last patch.

...and the rest.
