What armour?

Post » Wed Jun 20, 2012 2:37 am

What armour do you currently wear? Do you prefer to wear what looks better or for stats? Do you prefer Heavy or Light armour?

Dont have to answer all of them obviously, just wanted to hear peoples thoughts :)

If its heavy armour i personally like the steel plate, but i'm a light armour lover so its gotta be the horned scaled armour for me. I have to say though, on the characterim using at the moment he wears the same armour as the dragon born in the tv ads, i think it looks ace.

Right now, I got Daedric armor. It has excellent stats and I think it looks great.

Saurons armour.
LOTR has a much better armour style than Skyrim.

I loved linwe's armor, but since when i became a vampire the hood got buggy and do no properly show i.e. showing my char's head bald!

So now i'm going with the modified shrouded armor (http://www.skyrimnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=2260#content) and the Nightingale one.

If it was a choice between daedric and dragonplate i'd go dragonplate, but i like all my norse looks. The daedric armour does look sweet though, best stats in the game right? Does anyone else think that light armour got a raw deal in this game btw?

My assassin was into glass, light armor, that she found recently. But then I found a heavy armor helmet +30% bow damage, and a set of heavy armor gauntlets which had +25% bow damage, so now it's a mixture of two light/two heavy armor pieces.

Same here. No problem getting it to the cap, so will use it for quite some time.

Studded armor. Guards always say that I look like a brigand  I like fur, too.

I wear Thieves Guild armor when I'm on a mission. Don't have Nightingale yet, though.

I ignore stats and go with what looks practical. Since Skyrim is a cold place, I not happy with the number of armours that have legs, arms and cleavage hanging out, just begging for chilblains and frostbite. I would like something that looks like the leather armour, with legs and arms covered and wrapped, not only against the cold, but to protect from, oh, sword cuts, arrows.
