Post » Wed Jun 13, 2012 6:10 pm

currently im using the sign of the steed so that i can carry more treasure while im out raiding ruins

my main source of income is from killing dragons and selling their bones and gathering a HELL load of ingrediants all over the whiterun tundra and creating resist potions to then sell them on for quite a few septims.

im currently training my speechcraft way up so i can invest in markets etc but bloody hell its taking ages!
any tips for speeding up speechcraft?

so guys what birth stone are you under and what is your main source of income?

Mage atm. Will change to Steed in a short while then stick to that.
Mixture of alchemy, looting dungeons of anything that will fetch a Septim, transmuting ore and making jewellery, and quest rewards.

transmuting and creating like 90 gold rings from the mines near markarth was one of my main sources of income from my previous player :D then i went to iron mines and transmuted there alot too, before i knew it BAM gold... gold everywhere. i was stinking rich within a couple of hours haha

i want to be more of a business man this time and invest money into shops and get cheap cheap prices and steep selling amounts towards sellers :)

The ritual stone because you can never have enough zombie minions, even if they don't last very long.

Income comes mostly from looting.

My stone is actually still the Thief Stone, since I haven't come across any others in a while. My main source of income is...well, theft.

Lord Stone, it's almost like an "easy button", reducing the need for some enchantments and potions, which saves money for other things. Main source of income is transmutation / jewelry, smithing (I let it build slowly so as not to ruin the game), and wiping out Thalmor patrols. I tend to keep all the dragon bones and scales in a chest for smithing once I reach that point, then make them all "legendary", and make armor for my followers so they'll still be useful in the later game.

Atronach, with recovery perks to offset the hit to magicka regeneration. Way past needing an income, though it was alchemy. Now I am just looking for traders with grand soul gems, as the beggars and the Temple of Mara can't take gold off me fast enough.

Steed and my source of income is selling crap I find in dungeon, occasionally making jewelry and taking my share from Lydia's "shop", wherever the hell she has one.

Not that I need any money....I think 120k is good enough.

You make Lydias? I'll take a dozen, do you take cheques?

Income is mostly from dungeons but I still do the odd radiant quest. I'm using the Lord Stone as it's probably the most beneficial out of all of them.

Only deal in Septims man. I don't trust them checks, what with a civil war going on and everything. One condition, you have to give me the ingredients.

Shadow currently, but most often I use the Lord, the Steed, or the Atronach. All very nice.

EDIT: Dungeon delving, Thieves Guild radiants.

The Apprentice for my Mage. I am poor at the moment but my source of income will probably be from what I find while exploring. I may try Enchanting to make money as my character is trying to become a master mage so it might fit the role-play.

I tend to use Atranoch (and am with the current character). Love the protection against magic attacks, which are usually the big killers. Main money-making scheme is killing people and selling their stuff.

My light armor-wearing thief/assassin is using the Lord Stone for a bit more protection. I use a mod that drastically cuts down on the amount of money my characters get from merchants (8% sell / 1200% buy, (in vanilla it's 30% sell / 330% buy)). Carriage rides are also more expensive in my game (most cost 500 gold).

So we scavenge and sell absolutely every bit of loot swe can carry. Being a thief, she is also able to acquire things to sell by illegal means. She buys very little, but even so she can still run out of gold. She has trouble paying for those carriage rides at level 12.
