What if Brink goes free forever

As you already know, TF2 is free now. I never tried this game before, so yesterday I installed TF2 and after 11 hours played I thought Brink is much better. Brink's SMART system, weapon and character customization, classes, abilities, graphics etc they all great, and that feeling you shoot your gun is so good(both game have a heavy type character with a mini gun/gotlung, try it ). TF2 is a great game anyway, even my old laptop with Nvidia 8400M GS can run it in high quality graphics that Brink can not.

Ok this is not a TF2 topic, why I talk about TF2 is because Brink and TF2 have something in common and most importantly its free. Now let's talk about FREE, free of charge.

Why free?------because when it goes free more people will get their hands on it.So we can have more people to play with, not with those dummy bots. I can find a huge sever list in TF2, what about Brink huh? It's a ghost town.I don't know if brink has a future, if it doesn't change it will be dead.

People who already bought brink will get mad right?------Maybe, but SD could give all customers a unique bundle(or several packages to choose) of weapon/clothes/tattoos and a lifetime VIP account.

VIP account? Why I need that?------That's just an idea I brought from TF2,a premium account. When Brink goes free it will bring us a new trading system, people could buy new items and trade with other players, and people with an VIP account could buy any SD selling items with a discount,so SD could get more money if more people play Brink.

What about the trading?-------When you playing online you may find some items like clothes/weapons or something then you can equip it or trade it with other players and you can get real money from it.

What's your opinion?Should Brink goes free or not?

One of the major reasons TF2 has gone F2P is the revenue stream they have from the store - presumably if Brink followed suit it would also need an alternate revenue stream. A store selling new outfits and personal customization options would fit Brink's set up nicely, but I think this pursing this when the game isn't even a year old would come off badly. Going from a $60 price tag to $0 is quite steep, and likely more than an VIP type account could accommodate for (and $60 worth of Brink store merch would likely break that economy).

Yeah I don't see that happening anytime soon or without an alternate revenue system in place as said above. However if they went the middle ground and kept the first dlc free I think that would go a long ways towards growing the community while still making a profit off future dlc's.

Also although the community is rather small right now the main issue with finding games is the matchmaking. The best way around this is to build up a friends list on xbox or join one of the chats on ps3 so you can have all of the no bot action you could desire.

People need to make money doing that well, wouldn’t make any sense! I don’t see why making the game free would be good, at all.
