Well not really, a lot is repeated and it took them 5 years, which it shouldn't have done.

The amount of content is astonishing.
The quality of said content is sometimes questionable.

You have to play Morrowind + Tribunal + Bloodmoon ...

The Main quests;

8 Main Factions;

3 Great Houses;

3 Vampire Clans;

3 Ashlander Clans;

Daedric Quests ...

Not sure if I forgot something ...

he's just messing with ya- bethgamesstudios.

the more i play this game the more i realize how shallow and simple are retread the content in this game is. but, with shiny graphics.

uniqueness and creativity, as a whole, is gone.

this is basic, generic stuff i've seen for a few decades.

I'm still stuck on the complex and diverse dungeon puzzles presented in the game. It's like Zelda on cocaine.

;) This is exactly what I've been saying the whole time. The release date might have caused the game to end up with more bugs in the game, but it clearly inspired them, and motivated them to really show what they can do, and with an engine they completely understood, they were able to really concentrate on content. Anyone who thinks 300-1000 hours of game time is shortcuts, you are being ridiculous.

They included a lot of content here. And everywhere I go in the world, you can clearly see a lot of thought was given to particular items laying around, and what so and so was carrying, and etc. --This guy was a trapper, and eventually, the bears got him. His many trappings (furs) and his bear trap is laying about, a book on finance is laying there, his bedroll and campfire, and so forth. In his bag was a lone bee. It all tells a story, to me. He took risks and "played with fire" trying to get the honey, and the fire got him in the end. It's not just a corpse but a scene.

Sure the quests are buggy, that was someone's fault, but the world designers really put something unique everywhere you look. Even if they reuse assets, for example the Giant camps, there is at least something unique at all the different ones. This is the theme throughout the game. Yeah, this is the same log you've seen before, but this time it goes across a creek, or whatever.

To be fair, most of the landscape looks the same. Dungeon detail is great though...

Every time I play I wonder how I'll ever find everything. No one else makes games that I love to play as much as Bethesda. TES and the rest of the open world games they create just make it so much fun. I love to go into their worlds. :tes:

Just curious, but what could have made Skyrim a more enjoyable experience considering the content and originality?

I'm going to have to disagree with you. The landscape varies from each biome across Skyrim. Unlike Cyrodiil, Skyrim actually included a diverse providence. It almost appeared as if there was only one biome in Cyrodiil, yet it was later pointed out that there were multiple ones. Maybe I just haven't explored enough in Skyrim to start feeling like I'm hitting the same area every five minutes. :P

LOL at the haters.

Don't know why you come here if you dislike the game. Oh, that's right, it's because it's the best damn RPG out there and you know it!

Cyrodiil itself has just as much, if not more regional variety than Skyrim has. It was just very poorly presented in Oblivion. For example, read The Argonian Account books which describe Blackwood. Now compare it to what the territory was actually like in Oblivion.

The funny thing about depth is that it's merely an illusion. A game will always seem deep in the beginning, yet once step into it you quickly figure out that it's quite shallow. As for Morrowind being deeper I'd argue against that. More factions, more character possibilities yet they never flourish, nor do they ever advance. Most of the faction quests are fetch quests, or go here kill X number of these. Those are the kind of quests that MMORPGs are based upon, yet in an MMORPG you at least have the ever changing world of people around you that makes it interesting. As for character development it never feels like it becomes fleshed out. It starts and ends at stats, and never progresses from there.

Games in general are competitive and shallow.
