A simple thread: What armor and/or clothes do your character(s) use?

My current character Tynon uses steel plate armor(unenchanted) when he is out traveling with a pair of enchanted steel plate gauntlets called the Hands of Tenor. When he is in cities I tend to equip him with Fine Clothes(blue with fur shoulders) and Fine Boots(high black ones).

My Nord Warrior just changed her Steel Armor to Blades Armor and looks absolutely awesome. She's going to stick with this for a while I think ;) Except when she's out fighting the war, then it's the Stormcloak outfit all the way.

When she's in town, doing some shopping and smithing she wears ordinary clothes (she's fond of red, it suits her blond hair I think) or the Blacksmith's Apron (looks better than I would have guessed), and a pair of really nice-looking boots I found (to my surprise, since almost all shoes and boots in the game look UGLY). When she becomes a little wealthier, her clothing will probably change to something more fitting, but she doesn't even have a house or her own yet. She also owns a set of Tavern Clothes and the Chef's Tunic (which is really pretty if you ignore the dirty apron), but hasn't used them yet. Oh, and I'll will be trying to lay my hands on a set of Ancient Nord Armor soon. That and a circlet would look nice when she's doing Season Unending. It will be a more subtle statement than wearing Stormcloak Armor. And she's always so practical, it could be fun for her to look sixy for once.

Ebony Armor (Legendary)
Ebony Boots (Legendary)
Ebony Gauntlets (Legendary)
Ebony Shield (Legendary)

That is all.

When I retire from adventuring I'll wear my Roughspun Tunic and Footwraps that I recieved while incarcerated at Cidhna Mine.
Donning Fur armor when I venture out to hunt.

Btw can you craft Fur armor ? It doesn't seem like you can. Why is that ?

Where can I buy a blacksmith apron?

I found it somewhere (possibly in Riverside Shack), but Radiant Raiments might have them.

Alvor's corpse. Check dressers and wardrobes in bandit forts and dungeons with bandits in them.

Radiant Raiments always has them in my game

Right now my Nord wears:
Ebony Mail (I LOVE it's enchantment)
Daedric Gauntlets (fortify one & two handed)
Daedric Boots (fortify stamina & sneak)
Daedric Helmet (fortify archery)

He started off as a noble warrior... However, after doing a few Daedric quests he abandoned his morals and joined the dark brotherhood.

Dragon bone armor + iron helmet.

Wearing anything else than iron helmet just feels weird on my main character...

For my characters I am using a mod--Combination Vanilla Outfit for UNP by sesamin. It takes the clothing and armor from Skyrim and makes separates of them--tops and bottoms, cloaks and shoulder pieces--it even separates out the belt from the Redguard outfit. It has some clipping issues but is so much fun that I don't mind. I also use Cloaks of Skyrim and Winter is Coming.

Lately I've taken to a bit of sword and board fighting, so full Dragonscale for my Redguard and full Dragonplate for Lydia.

If I feel like some Archery I don my Glass Gauntlets of Extreme Archery and Ancient Shrouded Cowl, plus Archer's Ring and Necklace.

If Magic Spells are the order of the day, Extreme Robes of Destruction, Morokei, Ring of Recovery.

Calanir uses just basic enchanted robes accompanied a pair of boots, gloves and a hood. (All of which have been enchanted.)
His main source of protection comes from his Alteration Magic, and his nimble footing considering he isn't weighed down by all that armor.

Ulfgar is equipped with a full set of ebony armor, minus the helmet. (He doesn't wear closed helmets as I see no why he'd be able to use his thu'um efficiently if his voice is muffled, etc.

Gutslit wears glass gauntlets, fine boots(black ones), an Adept hood, and black robes. If he wears armor it must cover a ton of his body or he will feel insecure.

I got a blacksmith outfit, but then realized that I couldn't enchant it with Fortify Smithing, so I threw it away.

It's all (enchanted) Ebony right now...except I don't wear helmets. Also Sportin' an Ebony Battle axe double enchanted with shock damage and paralyze. Starting to feel like a God here, it must be getting close to retirement for ole Ofrid Stone-Heart.

my female orc wears Daedric armor that has been modifed with a NEXUS mod to be a bit revealing. It replaces standard Daedric armor with this version. I like it. Combine it with a heavy armor Dragon helm and she looks VERY threatening in a sixy way. Would scare the hell out of me if she crossed my path haha.

I also have an armor mod that allows me to craft "remodeled" versions of every light and heavy armor there is in the game. Have experiemented with those but due to the armor rating of the Daedric armor, my orc wears it more often.

In her spare time which is rare she wears Nocturnal robes to show her dedication.

Iron armor to start because it was easiest to find, buy, and/or make on my own at low levels. Was wearing a banded iron cuirass by the time I made it to Windhelm to enlist. Mostly wore the stuff they gave me, with a few additions of my own to round out the set, until the battle of Solitude at which point I made myself a modded in set of "Heroic Stormcloak" armor. Basically steel plate with a pretty cool bear helmet/cloak, and bear claws on the gauntlets and stuff like that, but requiring some higher level materials and with a somewhat better armor rating.

Wore that until joining the Companions and switched to the Wolf Armor when it became available, stuck with that for the duration of that questline. Have since moved on to Ebony and will stick with that until I'm ready to forge some Dragonplate, haven't taken the perk yet and probably won't do it until just before or maybe after the end of the MQ.

I swore with this PC I would not use any Daedric, but I'm starting to find Daedric weapons in loot now - have two so far, unused - and it's hard to resist the temptation. I suspect it will get even harder if I start finding the armor. I wore a Daedric set for a good part of my first full playthrough and loved it.

Stats largely determine my clothing/armor more than aesthetics. But right now I'm rocking the Thieves' Guild outfit they give you for joining.

At the beginning I wore whatever matched in light armor (being a sneaky thief I went with that skill tree) until I received the Dark Brotherhood armor. Wore that until I leveled out at 81 and decided it was time for a change. Smithed up the Savior's Hide with some fur boots, a circlet, a ring and necklace...all enchanted and buffed to give me a nice edge in battle. Elder and ancient dragons can still kill me but damn I look good when they grab me and toss me 20 feet in the air!
