What companion would you choose?

Post » Sun Jun 19, 2011 7:43 pm

So, I′m just wondering what kind of companion you would have chosen if you could chose from any NPC in the game.

For me, I think I would have chosen a securitron or a Vet ranger. Also another thing that might have been intresting was to have the companion as just an average NPC and slowly starting to connect bonds and learn your companions story. A little bit like ED-E maybe.

The Rangers are ANNOYING. People call the BoS Paladins stuck up but have you listened to the Rangers?

Anyways. For me it'd have to be a BoS Paladin or a couple of Kings.

I prefer playing without a companion...they just make the game far too easy for me since they act as a bullet shield for you.

Me and Clover have had way too many fun times... I love that girl lol. She's pretty weak so it is kind of a challenge to have her around since I mostly felt like I was protecting her.

Right back at you, ©lover. ^_^

Fisto is the perfect companion. His major weapon can be used to persuade and intimidate. Of course the icing is his awesome and chilling battle cry:

"Assume The Position".

I'd have to say either Fisto, a Bos Pally, a Ranger Vet, or The Toaster.

Any companion huh, Baby Deathclaw that you raise on your own and you can put custom crafted armor on it if you convince Red Lucy in the thorn, or a super mutant like Marcus, Keene, Tabitha and Rhonda, etc.

Even given the choice of every NPC in the game I'd still always roll with Danny Trejo Raul.

I want moar Raul! Even if it's some random note or terminal about his badass adventures... :P Tabitha would be cool too. Or Jason-- he's such a polite weirdo.

Marcus. Absolutely Marcus. In 2, he stomped around with me, laying waste to Enclave Patrols, Hubologists, Deathclaws, Wanamingos, and the Remnants of the Master's Armies. He was a real beast, highly skilled in energy weapons and big guns (Minigun, Flamer, missile launcher...big old things like that), and with unarmed weapons like the power fist. There were only two things I could get in my party tougher than him. Cassidy (in a suit of APA), and Goris.

I'd love to go stompring around the Mojave with him, and let the Legion know why the Enclave had cause to fear that Super Mutant!

He even served as my primary DPS against Frank Horrigan (I was busy using aimed shots to disable Horrigan's weapons.)

A squad of Talon Company Mercs and Jericho, seriously my favorite people from Fallout 3.

Honestly, given the choice of anyone in the game, I think I'd still stick with Veronica. Obsidian did a fantastic job of making all the player companions engaging, funny, and possessed of genuine character depth. Veronica was my favorite out of all of them, and indeed probably my favorite character from all of New Vegas.
