hey guys,

So i've been playing all week on and off, cant seem to get into NV in the way i did with FO3.
Never played the first 2 games as fallout 3 was my first ever RPG, with way over 200 game hours invested

Anyways, so i've just got to the strip, met mr house and been to the NCR embassy and met the ambassador there and what not.
Not killed benny yet cos i havent figured out the best way to do it, but i will do sooner or later.
Anyways, everyone has started talking about this big battle thats about to happen, i assume they mean at the hoover dam, but i feel like i have missed something here as normally i would have expected the situation to be properly explained before everyone started going on about it.

So you guys can tell me if i missed something, i've been to Novac, did the REPCONN quest and got rid of the ghouls.
I've been to Primm, and to Nipton and to the Mojave outpost... I got the guy from NCRCF to be the new sheriff...
I've been to sloan, but opted to leave the deathclaws in the quarry for now as i was a mere lv6 when i got there with little more than a 9mm SMG.... no thank you deathclaw alpha male!!!!! ha!
I've also been to camp mccarren and did the bounties that the major was offering there on violet, cookcook and driver whatever.
Done a few other side quests too like the boulder ruins one and for the king in freeside, and obviously a bit of exploring.
I've just been to Nellis AFB too, but havent done the quests for them yet due to me not knowing where to find the solar panel parts and what not.

Other than when i first bumped into them in Nipton, i havent had any contact with caesars legion... is this normal??

What do you think then guys?
have i missed something big?
have i done things the wrong way round?
(i've read on the wiki where i need to go, but dont wanna just skip straight to it... figured i'd find it in due course. )

I think thats about it really... doesnt sound alot when i say it like that but yeah... are there any other quests i *should* have done by now?
I dont wanna keep going and find out i missed a big quest or something!

Lvl 23, never been to Vegas yet.
Spent all my time exploring the wasteland and I am not really interested in going into Vegas yet either, too much good stuff on the outside to see and do.

lvl 19 or 20 havnt gone on the strip yet been in freeside but not on the strip
do helios one quest not really important but its a quest also camp forlorn hope is a good one to do as well

where do i pick the helios one quest up?

Level 12 is quite early for entering Vegas, my first time through, I don't think I hit Vegas until around level 20 or so. There's lots to do to the south and south east.

you can see helios one from novac if you talk to someone i think they mention it im not sure its a little to the north west i think um ill give you a hint have ncr armor i dunno if its bugged but i keep getting attacked in the back by some dogs if i donthave ncr armor if you dont have any or cant be bothered getting any just dont shoot them when they attack and let your companions kill them
