What Did You Call Your Character ?

Post » Sun Jun 10, 2012 3:50 am

Nord #1 was Gunnar Magnusson
Nord #2 was Harald Lone Wolf
My Khajit is called J'Rash-dar (he's a thief)

Next character will likely be a breton mage but I've not decided a name for him yet. It'll be something vaguely French-sounding anyway.

Vriddi gra-Yildnarz: fits Orsimer naming patterns, sounds somewhat feminine unlike most Orcish female names, isn't an exact copy of a name thats appeared in game that I know of
Belladonna Malfleur: means Beautiful Lady Evil Flower, fitting for a Breton witch I thought
Angharad: Good old Welsh name, all my red-headed Bosmer get called this
Griselda Coldheart: Griselda because shes based on a character of the same name from Glorantha and being a Germanic name it fits a Nord, Coldheart because shes not a very nice person
Hildi Bladesong: Just seemed right for a Nord skald

For my second run (after the game is modded so I can play the hero I want to have forever) I will make a female Hero named "Tindra". It is a nordic name and means something like "sparkling glow".

Soon-to-be-created male thief (cat) - Frodo.

My first (and current) character is called Ragmir, a Nord. I know, not particularly bright, heh? But it works.

My second character will be a female Breton Mage called Mona Millox.

All three of my characters are named after characters in the "Game of Thrones" series:
  • Davos (after the Smuggler known as the "Onion Knight," Davos Seaworth): This was my stealth archer, which I named the "smuggler" class.
  • Thoros (after the red priest, Thoros of Myr): This was my Cleric-- sword 'n board with restoration.
  • Qybrun (the evil ex-maester): This is my current, an evil necromancer/summoner.

Kiera Elfort, because don't ask. Not a very Bosmeri name but I imagine she was orphaned as a newborn by the Thalmor and named and raised by Bretons in the Imperial City.

My current character is Yhsoj. Named after my son. Read it bacwards. :P I thought it looked a bit different. Also since Altmers just have One name (like Madaonna or Prince) I made no last name for him.

Rosarott the Nord has a portmanteau of two words (Rosenrot and Rosa), both meaning rose, as her name.

Elfreda, a proper Germanic name for a proper Nord. Bit of irony in it that it means "elf-counsel", even though she hates the Thalmor (though at least not elves in general, like many Nords), but things like that happen.

Imperial Battle Mage FURRION FAUST

Furrion from "The Chronicles of Riddike"

Faust is the http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Protagonist of a classic http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/German_folklore; a highly successful http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scholar, but also dissatisfied with his life, and so makes a http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deal_with_the_devil, exchanging his soul for unlimited knowledge and worldly pleasures.

Dar-Marsh is my male Argonian character. Dar- is from Dar-Ma (NPC in Oblivion) while Marsh is from 'Black Marsh', their homeland.

Silly question: Do you named her "Rosarot" or "Rosarott"?

Double consonant. I actually found the word "Rosarot" somewhere quite a time ago and wanted to name a character like that, but forgot the spelling when I was actually to name her, and so she became Rosarott.

Okay, I understand. Sounds a little bit strange for me, cause I know the two others words from my mother-language and "rot" is red, but "rott" exist in word like "verrotten", which means to decompose....

Edit: I do not want to bother you. My Chracter is named "Heini" - this is a short form from "Heinrich", but "Heini" is always used as twerp ...
