I've seen the question posed before, but don't know if we got an answer. My research comes up with nothing possibly relevant to lasers, tommyguns, or Vegas.

My sole suspicion is that it's some setting equivalent of John T. Thompson. But that's total guesswork.

Washington State has a law on the books (RCW 94.49.030) about the "unlawful discharge of a laser". Might have something to do with the "Revised Code of Washington" (RCW), but just guessing on my part.

Thanks for the honest try. LOL

It would definitely be interesting if that was confirmed to be the case.

Yeah, not knowing what the heck it means is kind of getting to me... >.<

Rapid Charge Weapon sounds good though. :)

My guess would be a "resonance coil weapon" which I think was something http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nikola_Tesla was rumoured to be working on.

After a Google search of "acronyms RCW" the only one that vaguely makes sense is "Recirculating Cooling Water" and that's a stretch.

Riot Control Weapon?

That actually sounds pretty reasonable. Nothing like a rapid fire laser rifle to stem the tide of a riot... :P

My bet is on either the "revised code of washington", or the "resonance coil weapon" as they are both fitting with the sense of humor and history of the fallout series.

i dont know if the game did that much studying just for a name of a weapon. Probibly something a lot simpler,

Not.
I use it against all enemies that don't have high DT, for example, I can kill 8 Cazadors with ease with the RCW (using normal ammo.), so it's not a bad weapon.
