What is it? Dragons?

Post » Fri Jun 15, 2012 6:15 pm

Of course it's Dragons! It's always Dragons silly guard.

But no, I was just thinking, wouldn't it be cool to see different giant beasts flying through the sky? I know, I know. Skyrim is about the Dragonborn fighting off the Dragons.

But this could be for future DLCs. Just imagine... Walking through a fiery plane, a volcano in the distance. And boom. A phoenix! Or maybe wandering through the wilderness and seeing a Gryphon.

Just neat ideas, not saying it's going to happen. But it would be cool. Just wanted to start a thread like this, to see the other types of ideas people come up with.

Just occurred to me. there are no volcanoes in Skyrim! or lava! can't believe I forgot about it! but yeah, more creatures in the sky would always be nice other than the dragons and birds (not even sure if they're creatures).

I like this. I would love to see more variations of birds. Possibly ranging from say Cardinals, all the way up to condors/vultures.

Eastmarch is sitting on one giant Volcano. That's probably why the only Ebony and Glass mine are located there, though I think Ebony and Glass are supposed to be a special occurrence resulting from the Lava of Dagoth Ur(Mount Vvardenfell).

My hope is that there will be dragons, not as much as Skyrim but one or two, like eastereggs or bosses or something, would be a shame to simply get rid of dragons after all the effort put into them.

Oh I knew that, I guess by volcano I mean something with lava and all that. Who wouldn't want to see the soup that was lava in Oblivion return? lol

The feeling you get on Whiterun plains, wondering if something will attack from the sky, is awesome. I would love for more airborn attacks.

If only a Dragonborn or another dragon can permanently kill the Dragonkind, then ES5 sets the stage for every Elder Scrolls game to have Dragons, unless in every Elder Scrolls game we are a Dovahkiin.

Yeah, it'd make a really good environmental Hazard. Just look at Minecraft... Deadfalls are so boring.

Anything that adds cool aspects to the game I'm always open for. Some for the better, some for the worse. But this idea is actually pretty neat, not incredibly original but I like it! Also riding a giant bird never hurt anybody ;D.

As cool as being dragonborn is, I wonder how everyone would feel being one again, I'd be a little happy for the cool dragonshouts but disappointed because it's already been done.

Yeah, we don't have enough hazards in the game.

Ground combat is good, but dragons opened up the sky. I would love to see more sky to ground and mounted combat.

If I have my way the next game will be in Valenwood, & you'll have to worry about werevultures swooping in from the sky.

With werebears not being in Skyrim, can we really hope to see werevultures in the next TES (assuming it is in Valenwood) ?

Don't say that. Just let me hope.

This could just have been in existance for balance out the old Lycan vs Vampire feud.

I'd say Dragonborn ends at Skyrim, same with Shouting.

Taking a shot in the dark here, but I'm assuming the next Elder Scrolls game will take place on Summerset Isle, so if they're going to bring in something "New and Awesome", it's gotta fit that theme. A huge leap in the evolution of spellcasting would be great and fit the theme of Summurset.

Yeah, I've got my fingers crossed for when it eventually comes out, but I'm not expecting it.
They're just so cool.

The thing is though, the old "Lycan vs Vampire" feud never existed in the Elder Scrolls. They don't hate each other.
Hell, they've never really even been said to have any involvement with each other at all.

Touche, I'm just pointing out the co-existance of them. Generally a realm never has just one.

Well yeah, in a lot of fiction they seem to be a package deal, but the realm does already have them.
Of course, arguing for werebears is about as useful as arguing for Volkihar. We've all seen what seems to have happened there.

I honestly hope they don't take out the Werewolves next game. Bloodmoon's werewolves were fun. And I think they just procrasinated when getting around to the Werewolves for Oblivion and just figured not putting them in wouldn't be too big of a deal.

And MAN I wanna see the Werebear show up!
