What enchants have you put on your weapon?

Post » Sun Jun 03, 2012 6:13 pm

I've finally maxed smithing, enchanting and alchemy and now its decision time for my daedric one hander - i'm curious what other people have enchanted their weapons with,? I was going to go with a safe health + fire damage combo, but it feels a bit safe and boring.

I dont need soul trap as i've too many soul gems already....

Suggestions?

oh yeah i'm a heavy armour battle mage.

thanks!

i put fire and frost damage enchants on swords and bows, i usually carry 2 or 3 bows, i always carry a bow for soul trapping, usually a fire enchant plus soul trap and its usually a hunting bow, and then i'll use a paralize and fire enchant for an imperial bow and an ebony bow with frost and fire enchant....thats how i enchant my weapons.

I don't put anything on my weapons because I hate dealing with soultraps and soulgems.
I just use Dawnbreaker on everything and hope it goes nuclear as I decap the next fool.

i put absorb health and fire enchants. i don;t think i have a point in smithing, but with that fortify restoration glitch , i think i ruined the game in 5 minutes by making a few fortify enchant potions of 329 percent. plus i just got 75 in conjuration and got the summon dremora lord and storm atronach spells.

329 percent?!?
I made some in the hundreds of millions of percent. It works with some enchants, but some are knocked negative.
I have a ring that allows me to carry a few hundred million pounds and the same % for one handed weapons.
(I didn't intend it to be so high, but the next created potion got a little insane.)

It's a fast way to build up your alchemy though, when your potions are worth millions.

yea you can make them higher , though i was trying to make some that would increase enchants enough to increase my abilities without making me a god.

I am using 1 point frost damage along with paralyze for 1 second. That gives me the benefit of the 50% slow for 2 sec from the frost enchantment and the chance to paralyze while allowing alot of charges. My weapons already do over 500 pts damage so I figured extra damage wasn't really necessary. I often just use unenchanted weapons along with elemental fury also.

Me too. Once I take the time to go grab the star of Azura and can enchant a weapon with both soul trap an another effect (or the combo fire / trap) effect, I'll do i on my main weapon. Until then, its a plain Skysteal Greatsword, ideal for "Elemental Fury".

However, I do carry a pair of legendary Dwemer bows, one with 20 frost damage, one with 20 fire. I pretty much only bust them out for dragons that I can't reach; the fire bow gets used on frost breathing dragons, and vice versa.

Daedric sword: Absorb health/stamina

Daedric bow: Fire damage and Paralysis

Daedric dagger: Fiery soul trap and Paralysis

I might make a sword with just absorbing stamina and fiery soul trap though because I get tired of having to manually soul trap or use my dagger outside assassinations.

I've thought that too, but once you hit a certain point the percentages jump drastically. I did manage to make a 71% enchanting potion once and ended up making as many of those as I could. Otherwise, it's usually something like 91287409283792873487% :(

No clue why you all make these godly weapons it totally ruins the game, that is why I'm not enchanting any of my weapons. What I find is what I use.

I have yet to get the dual enchant perk, so I just use Firey Soul Trap on most of my weapons.

Yea I guess. I did the same thing but realized 1 shooting everything got really boring started new character not smithing or enchanting anything and enjoying the game a lot. I even had to leave a dungeon to come back to later because it was too hard.

I don't rush to getting 100 'chanting. But when I get there, that's what I use. Prior, I use Soul Trap. Then once I'm at a decent level to deal with Ironbind, I go get that axe and then have Fiery Soul Trap. After, it's a long road to 100 for the extra enchant. I don't power-level anything....

I can't remember EVER "one-shotting" anything in this game.... other than skeever and wolves as I gained levels. I have NO idea what you were doing to one-shot stuff.

Honestly the only thing that makes them "godly" is when you upgrade them with smithing. A normal daedric sword with a couple enchantments still isn't all that powerful enough to just one hit everything. Honestly though the game got so much more easier by the time I hit around level 30-ish and had a constant stock of potions. Yeah I might go through 20+ minor healing potions in a dungeon but they're cheap and easy to find.

I'd rather just have it so if combat is going to be easy I don't stop every few seconds to swig a potion. Maybe if you couldn't pause combat to heal it would be a different story.

1 word can answer that question....sneak.

With a dadric bow and 3x damage from sneak there is not much you can't 1 shot. Even saw dude 2 shot a dragon with it. As for dagger forget it you kill everything with assassins blade giving 15x and db gear doubling that you do 30x damage with dadric knife you kill anything in 1 shot. With sneak 100 you can get behind anything.
