I personally use Joshua Graham's armor with authority glasses, *because it is the only thing that looks close to a modern day military outfit), an automatic rifle from dead money, and that unique .45 pistol you get after honest hearts. For casinos and formality, I use Vera's attire, authority glasses and indiana jones hat along with the "Light in the darkness" pistol as the holdout gun.

Of course it's a hardcoe mode character. Now with the "Pack Rat" perk all that fits into 50Wg. The HH DLC content was manta from heaven for HC mode players.

I never use anything better than Leather Armor or the lowest tier faction armor as I like that enemies can actually hurt me.
I don't take Toughness for that reason too.

Other than that I stroll around with 5 purified water, 10 stimpacks and a machete on all characters.
For EW I use laser weapons. Why? Cause I like that their attacks are fast, I hate the slow moving plasma bolts.
For Guns I use mid-tier weapons and SMG's. Why? Cause I like that the weapons are more balanced and I fancy SMG's.
For Melee I use bladed weapons specifically. Why? Cause blunt weapons have better damage and I like balance.
And for Unarmed I use Pushy. Why? Cause it's [censored] hilarious to watch enemies fly 10 meters when I kill them.

I used to only wear light clothing.
Now I've been tweaking weapons, armour and npc's it may not be wise to do so but I need to run through the game again first to see.
For weapons I prefer shotguns, up until quite late on the caravan shotgun.
For ranged builds the hunting rifle, I tweaked cowboy guns and handloads so they are not as great at everything as before but still like them for role purpose.

Tend to have a grenade or two, water, some food, a melee weapon and often some piece of junk that my PC is attached to.

I just love my laser rifle, and the T-51b just looks awesome...it's iconic Fallout, especially if you're trading shots with a supermutant. Also quite nice atop a pile of dead Deathclaws.

Armor: Reinforced Leather Armor. It has good weight-to-protection ratio and is "light" armor so it works with the only perk that improves your running speed.

Main weapon: Fully modded sniper rifle as this is my playstyle. While waiting for the sniper rifle to become available I use the varmint rifle with mods or Ratslayer.

Secondary weapon: A back up gun for close in stuff. I prefer silenced weapons so this is normally the 10mm pistol with laser sight/ silencer or, later, the 12.7mm SMG with silencer.

Explosives: None. I find that sneak attacks with silenced weapons are pretty much all I need. However I'd like to try an explosives-oriented character next.

Chems: Steady and Cat-eye are my favorites. I carry lots of everything because chems weight nothing or next to nothing.

Food & water: I carry salisbury steak becuase it was one of my favorites as a kid. I don't ever eat it, just keep it on me. For food I find gecko steaks the most convenient; bloatfly sliders are great because they sound so disgusting. Sliders are also craftable with low survival and help with H2O. Desert salad and caravan lunches also on hand.

Misc: Surgical tubing and two glass pitchers to make purified water. I also carry naughty nightwear to help with Speech checks. A shovel for those hard-to-rob graves.


Edit: I also carry a few gecko hides around and tan them when I get the chance, for sale later. Geckos are the handiest critters in the wasteland I think. However I can kill them a lot quicker than I can find enough white horsenettle for tanning :sadvaultboy:

I'm playing my own version of 'hardcoe' at the moment, but by basically not using anything I wouldnt use in real life.
So I'm running around in some sixy sleepwear, with a slave collar on..still.. Using a 9mm pistol with Mercy for backup. My Aid includes Vodka, Wine, Cram, Nuka Cola, and brahmin steaks.
It's certainly interesting.

So....in real life you run around in lingerie, with a bomb on your neck, a pistol in one hand, a fully automatic grenade launcher in the other, guzzling vodka, wine, and coke, while eating T-bones and spam?

I usually take 5 or 6 weapons. I tend to swap them frequently for variety.
I prefer stealthy take downs with a silenced, scoped, rifle, so I use the Ratslayer a lot. Later in the game I might switch to a silenced sniper rifle.

I'll often just grab a gun that I usually don't use and take it out for a spin. Sometimes, I find out that I have been missing out and other times I realize why I haven't used it much.


Armor is generally between Recon Armor, Assassin Suit, and Joshua Graham's Armor. 1st Recon Beret is my headgear choice.

Currently using Leather armour, Desperado Cowboy hat, Cowboy Repeater, Lever-action Shotgun, Lucky, and combat knife.

Currently trying to work out what will look good on my next character, Alastrina (Irish meaning Avenger). I know she hates the Legion and will wear a slave scarf and sunglasses, but not sure which armour/clothing she'll normally use.

Slave scarf => Van Graff combat armor? Irish => knives & explosives?

I really don't wear armor I usually stick to clothes but if I ever find myself wearing armor it's NCR gear mostly just plain Trooper Armor. The clothes I usually wear are the Dirty/Grimy Pre-War Business Suit (Sense they look exactly the same :banghead: ) for that Rat Pack feel or I use the Caravaneer Outfit due to my character being an NCR supporter and a courier.

As for weapons I usually only carry up to two at a time and for the most part it's always guns. Lately been using the new Honest Hearts Pistol and Tommy Gun along with a Baseball Bat for those reach out and touch you moments.

It depends on my situation, for stealth i use combat armor with the fully modded sniper rifle and sil. 12.7mm pistol. As for plain [censored] [censored] up i use tb45 power armor (looks the coolest), with ranger sequoia, unique minigun, and riot shotgun.

This a really hard question. My current character wears cl vet armour and helmet. Right now his lead off weapon in the wastes is a brush gun. For hard areas its a mini gun with ap rounds more than likely.

Urban areas its the service rifle, but if alot of hard ememies are there he will switch to assult carbine or mini gun.

For indoors its riot shot gun with slugs or 10mm smg.
