I very much want to see the NCR army in full 3D.

You haven't seen the gameplay videos?
----------------
I wonder how many factions actually are joinable and how many are one two three quests then done.
Got a feeling some of us are gonna be disappointed. (Excluding BOS, NCR, PONV & CL fans)

You might have heard of the location called "Old Las Vegas Mormon Historic Park" which is owned by the followers of the apocolyps.

Yes and no. Yes I have heard of that location, and no that is not what I was thinking of.

Edit: Found it.

Ausir' date='25 August 2010 - 09:57 PM' timestamp='1282787852' post='16322767']The Vegas office of the Crimson Caravan is headed by Alice McLafferty, who was also in charge of the company's operations in Hoover Dam in the canceled Van Buren. She is normally in charge of the Hub HQ of the company, but the New Vegas branch has been underperforming lately, and she came to clean it up. She also mentions that the New Canaan Mormons (another Van Buren reference here) are in charge of most northern trade routes, while the Gun Runners control most of the gun trade in the area.

Not confirmation, I suppose, but if they are referenced they could potentially be included somewhere in the game.

# of BoS fans now: 3

...............were doing better...............

Count me in. I'm not going to do anything crazy for the BoS, but as long as they don't try anything evil, I'll help them out. They're the guys with Power Armor and Energy Weapons and cybernetic implants. That's all I ever really needed to hear to support them as much as possible for my character.

NCR because I have been helping them since Shady Sands. I want to see how things have changed since Fallout Two. Others I am looking forward to: Followers of the Apocalypse, Gun Runners and Khans. I am glad to see I was not crazy when I saw the Khans logo in that interview sometime back.

Another Faction I would like to see again would be the Shi.

I usually play the good guy type, but there may be twists to each factions motives,so i wont truely know untill the game comes out.

The New California Republic all the way! For the Republic!

I have always been a large fan of the NCR since I first came across them in Fallout 2. I think of them not only as a legacy that I personally left behind at the original Fallout, but also a symbol of hope to show us that even though humans are flawed, there is still good in all of us and that even after the Great War civilization will be able to recover one day.

When compared to the other major powers in the Fallout universe, they are the nicest guys around! We have the Enclave (Genocidal Fascist), the Brotherhood of Steel (Except for the ones in Washington DC, the rest are isolationist jerks that doesn't care about anyone else).

Just think about it, what exactly have these guys done for humanity? The Brotherhood has help defeat the Super Mutants after the end of Fallout 1, but that is about it. All the other major progress such as the rebuilding of infrastructure, the establishment of trade routes, the reorganization of the code of law, etc, are almost entirely done by the NCR alone. The only other nice factions I can think of are the Followers of the Apocalypse and the Church of Mormons. But the progress that they brought to humanity is still no where as near as what the NCR has managed to accomplished. Sure, we can all put harsh judgement of the NCR's less then moral actions, but it's hard to ignore the life saving angle part.

I will join the NCR rangers and bring peace, progress and democracy but to post-war America, one state at a time!

Read my fourth paragraph, I acknowledge that the Followers of the Apocalypse is a good faction too. However, unlike the NCR, they lack the resources or the military and political power to make large improvements in people's lives. The NCR has built railroads, highways, reintroduce police force and the code of law, etc.

I have 3 main goals in NV, all of which I intend to do on my 1st playthrough:

- Play on the hardest difficulty on hardcoe.
- Go to war with both the NCR & CL. If PNV gets involved with their war then I'll possibly end up fighting them too, though I'm hoping that won't be the case.
- Most importantly, kill Mr. House as soon as I see him. Though that may not happen since Obsidian stated that there will be 1 character outside of children that can't be killed, and Mr. House may very well be that character.

I know I'll probably be putting myself through hell by doing this. I'm not necessarily going to be evil though, and I'm probably going to try to get along with anyone that isn't an ally of these 2 (or 3) factions or Mr. House.

That would be the NCR.

I will always side with the NCR, I made this very clear in a thread a few weeks ago.

Here is my scale of faction like-dislike. 1-7 are like, 8-12 are dislike.
1. NCR
2. Followers of the Apocalypse
3. Crimson Caravan
4. Gun Runners
5. Chairmen
6. Omerta
7. Kings
8. Powder Gangers
9. Great Khans
10. BoS
11. State of Utolbitha
12. Ceasar's Legion

CL, I think these guys will be the most interesting. See how their methods end up all round and maybe it actually helps the wasteland.

Their cruel and tough, but the wastes are cruel and tough. They may have a strict law system for citizens and if you don't follow that well...............you saw what happened to those NCR guys.
