What is a good "realism" mod?

Post » Sat May 28, 2011 4:57 am

So I finished the game a couple of weeks back but obviosly I'm not doing playing... time to restart with a bunch of other characters!

My only problem is that the characters I'm using now are really intelligence/charisma rather than full on cowboys like my first character.

Right now I'm really missing FWE bad, with it's enhanced damge. Yeah, you get killed all the time but it feels more like a FPS and fights dont take forever.

So what is a good mod that enhances damage across the board? I saw a few a couple of weeks ago but cant remember and they seem burried now.

I enjoy playing Arwen's the changes make sense... hardcoe is ok... I'd honestly play it vanilla and allow the modders to fine tune their excellent mods

The game feels so much better with *3 damage *3 DT. I hope to have something that increases damage and DT out fairly soon. I have a module that works right now but I am afraid to release it as it makes liberal use of modav which means one bug can cause terrible damage to game balance.... A much better solution is in the works that wont have this problem right now.

Thanks a million guys! Found a modular realism mod and only installed the damage multiplier (x2) which makes combat a lot deadlier... sometimes a little too much but at least when I shoot a fiend in the head now they go down.

edit: that said I might be moving over to Arwens mod for a while to try it out, I like a lot of changes in the description.

I just released a new damage module that increases damage without ruining armor damage threshold and does not further make melee weapons more unbalanced. It actually made damage threshold super noticeable in that as a new character I almost panic now when I fight someone with leather armor on because it means I am most likely going to take tons of damage and barely punch through his/her armor. It matters even more when I see someone with decent armor and I am about to pick a fight.

I had a run run through with http://www.newvegasnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=37306.

Increased damage by lowering everyones health a lot, also an altered armor/ammo system, through I do not think everything is quite finished being fleshed out yet, and the creator(s) seem to be dealing with the holidays right now.I literally ran from some areas when running it with.

Also the impressive, if not daunting http://www.newvegasnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=37254, which I altered to fit with the previous mod.

A side of http://www.newvegasnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=35841, http://www.newvegasnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=35707 and http://www.newvegasnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=35979.

Wanted to use http://www.newvegasnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=37002, but would of needed to alter a lot of weapons damage by hand, and did not want to with my first play through.

Also ran http://www.newvegasnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=37372 and http://www.newvegasnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=34767, because I like sniping in VATS at times.

You may or may not like some of these. I love the variety of mod chimeras you can make at times.
