What Happened To My Gun?

Post » Fri May 27, 2011 8:56 am

Ok, so I bought two weapon mods from a traveling merchant (laser pointer and extended magazine). Once I equipped them to my 10mm Weathered Pistol that I got from the Classic Pack DLC, and well, this happened: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5wDsAFCGvIE

My screen turned bright orange and once I went into third person view you can see the giant Exclamation point with red box around my character. I guess it just involves the gun since it stays with the gun when I drop it, but I just wanted to know if it's going to affect my game at all?

Thanks.

Looks like the bonus content weapons were not designed to be equipped with mods, so you get a missing mesh error or whatever it is.

It should not effect your game in any game breaking manner.

What an absurd oversight by obsidian. Did they really not think of people adding mods to the preorder special weapons? Lazy people... They did not have to even make an engine for the game but they can't take the time to bug test.

I've had the same thing happen to me. Just out of curiosity, are there any actual differences in the models between the normal 10mm and the weathered variant? I certainly didn't notice any myself so I don't know why this issue even occurred. I'm honestly considering putting this game aside for a few weeks till these kind of problems can be dealt with. I don't care how much I was anticipating this game, I'm not dealing with an inability to use my weapons because of something as foolish to overlook as a missing model/texture/mesh. I am aware that I can technically use it still, but I can't exactly iron sight an invisible weapon.
