Does everything scale with you? I know gaurds kinda do....do dragons? weapons, magical drop rate and so on and so on. I know they say it does but from person experience do you find the game gets "harder" or easier? as you level

As your weapons, armor and skills increase the game gets a bite easier. Somethings scale with you while others do not.

They scale but their gear doesn't change as drastically as yours would.

You see, things don't actually get higher in level when you do. What happens is that new, tougher enemies come into the game to fight you while the easier, lower level enemies still remain in the game.

For example: When you are a lower level, you fight "Bandits." As you get higher in level, you begin to face stronger "Bandit Outlaws" and "Bandit Mauraders." But the lower level "Bandits" still remain the same level.

Was this helpful at all?

I was hoping this game would be like.....gw or wow when as you level thing level with you, so killing the "end game boss" would not be as easy as one kick, two swipe, your dead

I think it gets a lot harder as you level, until you go over 50 at which point everything stops scaling, so it then of course gets easier. It peaks in difficulty around the lower 40's for me.

I think everything should be static like Dark Souls. Some areas you should NEVER go into at low levels, while others would be a piece of cake for a high level character. Discovering what areas to fear, and not, is half the fun. Essentially having the AI difficulty the same through the entire game (by enemies leveling with you) is BORING imo.

I want to escape triumphant on the brink of death, and I want to on occasion feel like a GOD!

The current cap for enemies is 50 (with some a bit lower)... lvl 81 is there as a concession to players who wish to get every perk point and to give Beth a margin for introducing new harder enemies (like the new legendary dragons).

A character over 50 is more or less complete as the game stands now that's all.
Dawnguard will push that number up further as will subsequent DLC.

It's not an mmo you know.

When the dlc comes out, ancient dragons are not going to be your only worries.

That stinks of TESIV ... no thanks. I think I'll just fiddle with the difficulty in the options menu.

it would be better if things scaled with you in the sense that as a level 81, some things like dragons are level 90 or higher and some quests (radient) scale in difficulty

ancient dragons are level 50 dragons. They are not hard to deal with if you are sufficiently prepared.
