What have you done to prepare for OWB?

Post » Wed Jun 15, 2011 3:14 am

There is most likely another topic like this but every time I try to search I get a error. Have you done anything to prepare from Old World Blues? I went and bought a .45 auto pistol with .45 AP silencer and .45 AP HD slide. Along with that I switched out my usual Gannon Family Tesla armor(can't find my Remants power armor) with mark 2 combat armor and 60 rounds off .45. I play on hardcoe and I use to carry over 100 pounds of stuff but now I find it amazing the difference with only 36 pounds on me.
Just looked down guess I missed it but there is one I don't know how to delete this topic wonder if a admin can delete for me XD.

When I first read your post, I though you were talking about real life. I was thinking: You went out and bought a .45 Auto Pistol with a silencer and HP Slide?. When I saw Gannon Family Tesla Armor I realized it was in New Vegas.
Back to the point: I have actually done nothing to prepare for OWB. When it gets here, I prepare for it.

I've been doing my prep as the dlc downloads usually dumping all of my current gear in favor of non unique weapons and armor.

I deleted all my saves, made a clean install, updated and reinstalled my mods.
Now that I think about it, I changed my operating system after I finished my last character too.
I'm starting fresh.

Started a new character (well a new version of the same character), want to go to Big Mountain early in his story so it makes sense.

I started a new character, this time a female with Wild Wasteland. Not so much in preperation but the time comes, I can play OWB with two characters.

Ive been stockpiling .45-70 and .45 acp ammo for my Sequoia and Trenchbroom. Which are the only two guns I'll be using aside from the unique .45 acp pistol for holdout weaponry. I've also been killing NCR npcs all over the map. I'm a legion kind of guy.

Right next to the armor in the cave where you found it. If its not there, it probably got knocked somewhere in a dark corner or its a bug.

Gonna take my Desert Ranger Combat Armor, some energy cells, the Pulse Gun, and a couple of disposable Laser Pistols to use repairing it. I have tons of fun "restarting" with very little items during DLC's.
