What is hidden deep within the menus?

I've been messing around with the Creation Kit and other than a few neat features it is almost the same as its predeccesor. I was hoping for a cleaner and more efficient workspace more in line with the Unity Developement Kit. I have found the preferences tab but it doesnt really have many options for the render window...so I have a few questions about things that may or may not be hidden within the menus.

First and foremost, will their be a possibility of plug-ins that give the CK some added tools or customizability options?

Second, Is there anyway to toggle which objects are visible in the render window. For now I am mostly placing actors, weapons, and structures as well as editing menu values. When I am looking for a good place to drop a house( in a exterior worldspace) or when I am looking to place a unique weapon(in a dungeon) I do not want to see the bounding boxes for animation activators, places where dragons can land or a quest/event trigger. I like to only see the barebones so that the area I am working on is much easier to focus on. Not to mention my fear of dragging something accidentally and messing it up as I adjust to the camera control change from a program like Maya. Also this may help with render time as it would not need all the superfluous things that aren't actually visible in game. A toggleable option where you could toggle off all the fx objects and toggle on all the animation activators or something like that would be awesome but I doubt its hidden in here.

Lastly, if there is anyway to change the camera controls I would be grateful to find out. Zooming is impossibly slow, rotating is exceedingly wonky, and overall its just a bad camera set-up. I wish they had taken the route of a first person camera option that allows you to walk through the game world as if you were an actor in the scene.

Ooo one more thing. When I open up an NPC I see something called Weapon List with a drop down menu but no lists to choose. Is this sort of like a custom leveled list so that you can create a larger scope of NPCs using similar weapons? Also where do I actually create the lists?

Pressing M will hide all volumes like the ones you mentioned. Double tapping the 1 key will hide the selected object. Pressing F5 refreshes the render window, unhiding everything.

Extending the CK? Quite possibly in the future. It was done for the Construction Kit and the GECK.

Hit M to hide any markers. You can also go to View -> Show/Hide and hide individual items. Also, with an item selected, tapping 1 will make the object unselectable but still visible, and 1 again will make it invisible. Either re-load the cell using F5 to show everything, or hit Ctrl + 1 to refresh the hidden objects only.

You can speed up rotating and zooming by right clicking an empty space in the render window and choosing "Render Window Properties". Increase the multipliers as you see fit, mine are about 2x - 3x faster than the default.

Weapon List isn't used in Skyrim. In Fallout it was used to only allow creatures to equip certain weapons, however as creatures and NPCs are now merged to one form called "Actor", this option is deprecated.
