OK you master smiths/enchanters out there... what are your best weapons and armour you have made (if you can remember what level soul gems you used it would be even better).

And of course, what interesting names have you given them.

Here are some examples

"WhackAMole" - Ebony War Hammer (Legendary) - Shock (Black Soul Gem with Grand Soul).
"Dark Knight" - Ebony Armour - Enhanced Healing (Grand Soul Gem with Grand Soul). <- Did full kit of ebony for female companion. Looks sweet imho.

Some of the names I have give have links to other games and books... like my big assed two handed sword is called "Big ....ing Sword" <-- If you have read Terry Pratching you will understand where ....ing comes from. Then another one is called "WhatABastard" (Bastard Sword is the true term for the two handed sword).

I also love having a matched pair of one handed swords... One called LOVE and the other called HATE.

This is one thing I really love about Skyrim.... Has a nice smithing system. You can mine the ore, make ingots from the ore, make armour from the ingots, improve the armour and then finally enchant the thing and then take it into battle. Freakin AWESOME.

I really should have named my guy Edmund Talbot (anyone read John Ringo books... Edmund is a master smith from the Council Wars books). Only problem is that I am a High Elf. Perhaps Gothoriel the Youth.

I'm not a master of smithing or enchanting, but the coolest thing I made was a glass bow named Dragonbane that i enchanted with the soul sapping spell.

Anything I kill with it that dies in less than a second, the soul gets put into an empty soul gem. You can alter how many seconds until the targets dies. I chose one because most die with just one arrow if I'm sneaking

I made a Legendary Two-Handed Glass Sword called Paralyzer, which was enchanted with 1 sec Paralyze on strike. Needless to say, hilarity ensued as bandits would just randomly topple over and immediately try to get back up when they couldn't resist the paralyze effect. This is very effective for stopping an enemy dead in his tracks and setting up for a Power attack while he's down. And when he gets up, chances are you will successfully paralyze him again. LOL

How about the Psychotic Marksman's Bow? An ancient nord bow with a fear enchant? Horrible for trying to sneak, because it causes whoever you're shooting at to run away in fear and alert everyone else in the vacinity of your presence.

Based on just vanilla gear and weapons? I mostly use a bunch of legendary enchanted swords and axes from the JaySus Swords mod with some very nasty double enchantments.

I'll just list some of my best gear based on vanilla items that everyone can find and fix up.

My favorite set of light armor (Scaled Horn)-
Scaled Horn Heart Armor (Legendary) With 35% Faster Health Regen and 70+ Health
Scaled Deathstriker Gauntets (Legendary) with 45% Bow Damage-45% One-Hand Damage
Scaled Deathstalker Boots (Legendary) Muffle and 45% Two-Handed Damage
Scaled Deathstriker Helmet (Legendary) 45% Bow Damage
Hardass Hide Shield (Legendary) Block 45% more damage

Best sword-
Blades Katana = Vengence of Talos (Legendary) with 98 Damage and 148 Shock/148 Fire
I use this to make the freaking random dragon attacks short and lethal for the dumb dragon.

Best Axe-
Ebony Deathstorm Axe (Legendary) - 102 Damage with 70 Shock + 44 Absorb Health

All made with Master Smithing and 100 Enchantment and all Enchantment Perks. I also use the Enchanters Elixer to give 25% more stat increase. All Items made with Black Soul Gems (Grand).

I made a set of enchanted ebony daggers called 'Pain' and 'Wisdom'.

I also enchanted one of the silver swords the Silver Hand carries and named it 'Wraithbane'. (It still svcks, but it's a nice ornament)

All Deadric, spent many hours in mines. I am somewhat amazed at the weapons you people use. I just disenchant all unique weapons and use the spell.

The big sword, I don't name em', hits about 120 now + 20 frost. The bow is hitting at 114 + 20 frost, yeah I am a boring enchanter. Smithing makes unique and found weapons pretty well worthless. Those are base numbers, the actual hit is often much higher. As I spent so much time mining and working forges etc I do not consider what I did a scam. I probably took 30 hours just for the weapons and armor, it's own quest, if you will. Oh yeah the armor has hit the cap.
