What makes you bored quickly in skyrim

Post » Sat Jun 09, 2012 6:37 am

I made this Orc assassin level 56, while in master difficulty I was able shoot down a blood dragon with a sneaky arrow, killed an ancient dragon with one melee sneak attack and killed Alduin with two duel-wielded power attacks .

After that I just stopped playing Skyrim.

Edit: Misunderstood the question.

I would say completing all of the main quests is what starts to get me bored.

Also, once i have explored pretty much everything i start to feel like there is no point in playing. Thankfully when the CK is released all that will change for me.

what makes me bored is completing the main quest and all faction quests apart from thieves and being able to kill nearly everything in one or 2 hits.

The creation systems bore me. I have never gotten good at any of them because training the skills is a monotonous activity.

As to the OP, I don't see how one can be considered 'quickly' bored when referring to playing a character because he's too powerful at level 56. My highest level character before starting over was 39th, and he had close to 200 hours built up.

Avoid maxing sneak, smithing and enchanting and you should be okay. Yep, we should not have to avoid such things but unless you want to remove any sort of challenge in your game then i would avoid all 3.

Actually I had gotten bored myself and going to change up and try a mage of sorts. I want to really use a staff, but there really aren't any at the beginning so I will use a dagger or one handed sword for now. Waiting for Steam to download Morrowing GOTY right now on my PC.

Yeah, the dragons are way too weak, bounty hunters and bandits should be leveled beyond 50.. Hell I'm LVL 81 and I wear regular cloths and fight with a butter knife (JK on the last) and there isn't anything that can hurt me badly

Funnily enough for me I get bored when listen to some NPC waffle about something that isn`t getting to the point, although I never rush them. At the end of their talk I`m like, "Waitaminute! What was I supposed to do again?"

Having NPC's around who I can't talk to bore me, as does their general lack of awareness. the Guards seem to know everything before it happens, but that's just not the same.

Traveling to a random dungeon for fun and finding out that it was a quest-related dungeon (and therefore still empty) really takes me out of it. That's like the main cause of me only lasting thirty minutes before turning it off whenever I try to pick it up again.

The most boring thing in Skyrim is when I buy my first house, do a lot of traveling and stockpiling in the house, then later on I'm like... I kinda wanna move into this other house.

Moving thousands of pounds of armor, weapons, ingredients, ingots, etc. (even if you bring a follower to help carry more at once) is soooooooo boring.

Same here, mainly because the voice actors sound bored or maybe it's the static camera that just locks your view while they talk.

I guess if there was one thing that makes me "bored" it's the loot in Skyrim. I've always been a pack rat in Elder Scrolls and loved hoarding rare weapons, armor and artifacts. I would risk my neck to get those items in the past. Hunting for those things in Skyrim really means nothing to me anymore since I can just make it all now. It kind of cheapens everything in my mind. Daedric (anything) at one time was a prized piece to own and had tremendous value. But now I can just walk over to a forge and make the stuff until I'm blue in the face. The crafting system is cool, but at the same time it has taken away that excitement I would feel when I found a valuable piece of armor or a rare weapon.

I love when people complain about this. "I have a level 56 character and he is very strong, wtf?!"

Are you F***** KIDDING me?!?!?! You spent 100 hours building a character and your pissed of he is strong? No no, its not the game, its you.

I think selling things bores me the most especially when you get to the higher levels and you have shields that sell for 2,220 gold and your vendors have 1,250 on them. There comes a point where you've bought all the things you want and all you really need gold for is training so you find yourself dumping more and more stuff in your house's so you dont have to go from vendor to vendor to vendor.

AMG makes a good point. There's no value in most of the valubles.. also, I definately think Deadric artifacts s/b the strongest items in the game.. kinda takes away from it when you can make much more powerful items

It gets boring when there's no challenge. The base game is borderline too easy, and 95% of the material on the internet related to it is sharing advice on how to make it even easier.

Google Deadly Dragons mod

Or strip naked and try killing a dragon with a shovel or pick axe.

1.) The difficulty of the game. It becomes trivial.
2.) Itemization and character progression ending very early on.

Without challenge and progression, all that content just does not matter for me.
