What makes you happy?

Post » Mon Dec 19, 2011 1:52 pm

Now I'm not making this thread to ignore all the things that are currently wrong in the world, but sometimes I feel that we are flooded with the negative. There's a lot out there that provides faith in the human race and in the world as a whole. Even the biggest curmudgeon can find things in this wold that makes them happy and I just want to know what that is. Hopefully you can reflect on the positive on find something that is worthy of your admiration and respect. You can post links to videos, articles or even pictures. If you have none of these things than just simple share what makes you happy and the things that make life worth living.....

One thing that can always lift me up after a rough day is listening to an amazing voice. One popular link I can share is that of this amazing singer from Korea........http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tZ46Ot4_lLo&feature=related .

Humans find happiness in close relationships, accomplishment, altruism, and any number of other things related to the core social movies of belonging, understanding, controlling, self-enhancement, and trust.

I just had a test on this stuff earlier today :whistling:

Lately, I've been finding happiness in little bits of pro-social behavior. Support for community and professional artists, donations, etc. I found $90ish in my PayPal account that I forgot about, down to $20 now, which will probably disappear in the purchase of a future Humble Bundle

Also the bond between humans and animals tends to make me happy. It makes me believe that their is something greater than science or religion out there that links living things.

Yup, involvement and belief in greater things can make us happy. That can fulfill all five motives
