First it's a Fallout game so I am going to want it

Second it's being made by the the people that worked on the Originals or the cancelled FO3.

It will have hardcoe Mode
Damage threshold
And return of advlt/mature content (I hope)

For me? Apart from appealing to my Fallout addiction.

New Vegas looks amazing, and all those lights and glitz, casinos, potentially new vehicle skeletons, new toys, possibly best story yet. Alot of things come to mind xD

well basically if you gave fallout 3 steroids and fused its genes with highly concentrated awesomeness, fallout new vegas would be the product.

Well... I have to agree with others, It's Fallout!

Plus I think the shear aspect of RP'ing in and around New Vegas. HC mode is sounding very interesting. And the story line has multiple paths that I see don't even know which way I want to take my first character.

I don't think my anticipation level has ever been this high for any previous game.

Fallout 3 had mature content, hence the M rating.

Anyways, its a Fallout game, and has made improvements to an already great game, Fallout 3.

Do you just go around attempting to poke holes in what everyone says?

Once again, you are wrong though. By Mature content he meant more than violence and a couple of sixual innuendos that even the cast of Friends would find lame. things liks Prostitution, drugs, and a more gritty, dark feel to the world.

Gumpy hit the nail on the head. FO3 just had innendos. New Vegas will have prostitution and strip clubs. Will show effects of drug. FO2 style advlt/mature content. Places like the Cats Paw and Junkies that look like Junkies and freak out and attack you.

I liked Fallout 3. Even though New Vegas won't offer much in the way of new features it does seem to have a better story.

I too hope that they will put mature themes in the game. I'll be disappointed if they don't.

No, I go around and try to stimulate conversation in threads instead of reading the same boring [censored] over and over again. I mean, it gets boring reading about all of the complaints people had about Fallout 3, with most people repeating the same stuff in every thread. But, why are you trying to "poke holes" in what I am saying right now?

Also, I am not wrong. I stated Fallout 3 had mature content. It clearly does, or else it would have not gotten an M rating. Unless of course mutilated bodies, drug use, and strong language aren't there for mature audiences anymore, and are actually there for people under the age of 17 and the M rating is just for kicks.

after 900 hours+ with F3 - and being a fan from the days of Fallout and F2 (and Wasteland before those) - i welcome a new world to roam

what has really excited me are the details that have come to light

the voice cast - weapon upgrades - ammo varieties - the idea that certain areas will have to be avoided early on due to no level scaling

each new detail makes waiting that much harder

Yes it does have a M rating but why? Mutilated bodies yes. Drug use? No: What drug, jet? It does not even have a down side. Can't even drink. Strong Language? Worce word I heard is something I am not sure I can write on here but it starts with an A. six? No. Just innuendos. FO3 could have had more and might have but it did not. It's as if the Devs panicked and cut all the real mature content to make it Teen rated but forgot to change the M.

Look at FO2. sixual jokes and prostitution. Topless women but can't see any detail because of the graphics and top down view. Drugs have bad effects. Lots of blood.

Anyways going off topic....

Really, only jet is the drug? Not Med-X (originally named Morphine), Ultrajet, Psycho? Drugs don't have bad effects, so I guess getting addicted and recieving the SPECIAL/Stat reduction is no longer bad? Can't even drink? So consuming beer is now not drinking? Worst word you heard is with an A? So you have never heard Jericho drop the F-Bomb every other time you initiate a conversation with him?

It sounds like you hardly even played Fallout 3.

One person using the word big deal. Med-X was Morphine, proves my point the Devs panicked. I don't see any bad effects in FO3. I get addicted but it does not do much. Drinking does not have an effect. Sure I can drink all I want but I don't get drunk. The other fallout I can. When I get addicted in the other Fallout games it's a real problem.

Still even if for some people it's a problem to be addicted. Then FO3 has "drug use" and one sware. Still no six and just gore. Wow real mature/advlt content.

Anways we are getting off topic and we have to agree to disagree here. You have your idea of mature/advlt content I have mine.

Because you can chose to help any faction in the game, I enjoyed Fallout 3 but I hated being forced to only help the B.O.S. . I would liked to have been able to fight for the Enclave if I wanted to. By the way, Since I'm Californian I'm backing the N.C.R. on my first play through.

After 900+ hours of FO3 over the last couple years it's time to move on....and gamesas and Obsidian were kind enough to provide more Fallout goodness to move on to. As long as it's at least as good as FO3, I'll be satisfied...though I suspect it is going to be even better.

Might be better for modding
(and the book might be cool too)

*It will be interesting to see what they do with it, but its [essentially] a commission job (made to suit the client). It will possibly be as FO2 was to FO1.

More stable game, going to the west coast for the first time in a way I can actually appreciate visually, Vegas, some life and a bit of free-aim goodies to finish it all off with.
