What is Old World Blues actually?

After seeing the footage for OWB, and seeing how high-tech everything is supposed to be, is it supposed to be Area 51? Obsidian will have to be [censored]ting all over themselves if they don't make anything for that, or else we'll do that for them. But seriously, I know the footage hasn't released any evidence that it could be, but is it??? I have to know!!!

It's Big Mt. Research Facility. So it's probably Big Mountain, CA or Big Mountain, AZ. Big Mountain, AZ is also known as Black Mesa, so it could pay tribute to Half-Life by being in Arizona.

Its set in the Big Empty (a corruption of Big Mt). No aliens, if thats what you mean by Area 51.

p.s. The http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Big_Empty is your friend.

The wiki is how I even found out about this DLC, besides from Dead Money. But what I meant was could it have been possibly called Area 51 Pre-War, and did it just get renamed after? I know nothing anywhere says anything about there ever being any Area, but it just got me thinking about the possibility that Obsidian could have just masked it as Black Mountain. And besides, doesn't your brain get stolen? Can't the Think-Tanks just manipulate your mind to think you're in Arizona or something, while you could have been in Nevada the whole time?

I'm glad the haven't used area 51 in the game, it would have just seemed cheap and cliche and you just know they would have jacked it up and put aliens in it. Just like that...... thing they spawned from the depths of stupidity for F3.

Liberty Prime?

He's probably referring to the mass ammounts of androids and apparent aliens that were in Fallout 3. But I guess I figured that Fallout was supposedly determined to take place in Vegas so it could have part of its story revolve around the Pre-War base. I admit, I did anticipate it, but now that I know it isn't happening, I'm a tad dissapointed.

No, Liberty Prime was stupid but I'm talking about..... I can't even say its name. Let's just say you were abducted by something in a dlc and were taken into space.

To be honest. The only part of Fallout 3 that bothered me was the ridiculous Mothership Zeta dlc. But I'm looking forward to a GOTY New Vegas so I can play the DLCs. Also, anyone who's read the Van Buren documents pretty much knew what to expect the second they heard 'Big Empty'. So knew before hand.

Well considering that A51 is in Nevada, and http://images3.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20110605113844/fallout/images/thumb/0/00/BigEmptyMap.png/, I really don't think that would be the case, expecially since there isn't a Big Mountain in Nevada... though considering http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Black_Mesa_near_Chilchinbito.jpg the idea might not entirely be as farfetched as we think, because it basically turned from the vast, wide, hill ridden area filled with flora, fauna, and tribals, to what looks like a crater that effectively turned it into an island. Assiming that is water surrounding the crater, of course.

So it's definately not related to Area in any way?

Other than being a top secret facility that developed high end technology that never saw light of day in the Pre-War days, no. Area 51 and The Big Empty are two seperate facilities.

Hell i fail to see why liberty is stupid ? I mean the enclave done a somewhat similar thing with frank Horrigan ( a better version of super mutant in PA ) for a tactical advantage in combat .Is it because liberty is a robot because thats racist you know .

Not necessarily that he's a robot, I love the robots of the series. Its more that he's a mecha-robot ala "Transformers" (with a similar name to "Optimus" I might add).

Even that is not the main problem though, the main problem I have is that he came in at the last posssible second and saved the day. Its bad writing. The whole time the Brotherhood were fearing the Enclave and saying they looked like cavemen compared to them, and then they just say "Oh yeah we got this cool robot here, that'll do".

Anyway off topic.

TBH liberty is pre war it's not like the bos magically put two pieces of metal together and blamo ROBOT of destruction ! But would of liked it if the player had some involvement in his re build like just fetch 10 PA to repair his exterior or something like that just a little more involvement .

It's explained that they only got Prime running because of Doctor Li's knowledge of fusion power.

There was a scrapped quest to power him back on for writing's sake. I don't know why it was cut.
