What Outfits and Guns do you want back from Fallout 3?

Post » Sun Mar 06, 2011 6:24 am

Didn't the guy outside the casino who tried to sell you concealable weapons wear it? Mr. Holdout, I think. I'll check the wiki.

EDIT: http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Holdout we go.

IIRC Heavy Incinerator was a new design.

I don't believe that's mentioned anywhere. I could see the heavy incinerator making a return, especially because it was one of the better weapons in the various DLCs.

I mean, how would they even get there?

Well, the Tesla Cannon could be contrived to show up in NV if we assume the Western Brotherhood and the Lyons Brotherhood reestablished contact and shared design schematics.

Key word there being "contrived."

We do know that tribeam rifles are in NV though, and IIRC those were only found in the hands of mutie overlords.

On the Mysterious Stranger's coat - just because an NPC wears it doesn't mean a PC can wear it. After all, Billy "Not a Pedophile, Really" Creel in FO3 had an eyepatch that players couldn't loot or equip without mods.

The Roving Trader outfit and the Wasteland Doctor/Surgeon outfits. As for weapons... I'd like to see a leaver action rifle again, and the railway rifle just with some amped up power.

Oh yeah and the T-45d power armor.

Hope they bring back the leather armor and the sawed-off shotgun. That's pretty much all I want. :nuke:

IIRC Heavy Incinerator was a new design.
So it has to make sense, lore-wise.

http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Flamer

The only thing lore-wise that didn't make sense about the "Heavy Inincerator" was why it was added in DLC instead of being the Flamer to begin with and shooting a normal jet of flame. It looked like a Flamer from FO and FO2, but Beth botched it by making the "Flamer" into a WWII flamethrower then adding the "previously canon" look as a fireball thrower later. The method of fire was a new design...the look was what FO Flamers looked like to begin with.

Retcon FO3 "Flamer" out of existence, bring back old-style FO Flamers FTW.

But some weapons would be lore-breaking to have back though.
IIRC Heavy Incinerator was a new design. Bio-gas canisters were only a prototype which had a set amount in PL, Tesla Cannon was developed with the help of The Lone Wanderer.
None of these would make any sense to have in Vegas.
I mean, how would they even get there?

(Might seem like I'm a hypocrite but we all know that aliens don't have a set area, there could be a crashed UFO with alien weapons from MZ in it. They're all around the world.)

So it has to make sense, lore-wise.
Well the Lone Wanderer and Harold obviously brought them over on all the stolen Enclave Vertibirds. Duh. =P[/sarcasm]

Nah, I don't expect any of the weapons from FO3 besides a few (like the DKS-501 Sniper Rifle) to make an appearance in New Vegas, but those are just weapons or similar weapons I wouldn't mind having in New Vegas. I don't really even care for the Auto Axe, I just would like a big chainsaw-like weapon because I hated the Ripper. It felt overpowered for it's weight to me, and I'd much rather tear apart limbs with http://images3.wikia.nocookie.net/left4dead/images/4/40/Render-chainsaw.jpg
The Heavy Incinerator I wouldn't expect, but I would love another napalm launching weapon. I wasn't really big on the Flamer, but once I got the HI, I loved finding flamer fuel.
Bio-Gas Canisters I could see though. Yes they were prototypes, but who's to say they didn't release them out to some other research facilities? There weren't many of the canisters in Point Lookout as it was, so it could be the same in New Vegas. A fun toy to use for a little while, but limited in supply.

I was going to say 'I'm waiting for some 'really devoted fans' to saye 'none' and lo and behold the predicatablity of the users has come through.

Anyway, I wouldnt mind seeing some sort of skin based in Col. Autumns Overcoat, maybe some Pre-War Generals uniform, akin to General Chase's uniform, but not winterized. Or maybe the clean version of the Dirty Pre-War Businesswear. I would like to see the Combat Armor make a reappearance, which it is, so hurray. xD

Edit- I'd also like to see those spiffy Chinese Jumpsuits reappear.

Black or brown version of autumn's coat, brown version of eulogy's coat, good old leather armor, raider wastehound helmet, and even hell a black leather armor would be pretty sick.

Merc stuff was awesome. Best looking in the game. I hate using heavy armor, and it looked cool, so it was the best.

I would like the 10mm SMG in, if we hold it correctly. I think it is in though anyways. Well, the ones I want are already in, or have an equivalent. Would like the perforator. Maybe minus the scope. Like the blacked out color scheme, and the silencer.

Would love the alien weapons to not show up at all, other than the one blaster. MZ svcked, and I don't think the rest have any place in the game.

I'd like to see the stealth suit return as well as Paulson's revolver and clothes. The only non-DLC item from Fallout 3 that I'd like to see is the T-51b armor, which should be in every Fallout game :fallout:

The R91 Assault Rifle. I think I actually saw one on the back of Super Mutant in the first gameplay movie that came out (it was just the stock, but the shape was exactly right). The only reason I want it to come back is because it appeared to be the basis for the Perforator which we can hopefully mod an R91 into.

Weapons? It's already been semi-confirmed. The Fat Man Tactical Nuclear Catapult.

As for apparel...bah I didn't like any of it.

For normal armor i think raider badlands armor would be nice to see again and it already has what appears to be a canteen type container attached to the belt, could be helpfull during hardcoe mode.

For power armor i'd go with hellfire since in my opinion it was the best armor in the game.

For weapons a double barrel shotgun that shots one shell at a time instead of both, just annoyed me that i could'nt just fire one of them and had to reload after one shot because of it.

There really was'nt much else that really caught my intrest enough to make me want to see it again.

Well the bug isn't that annoying.
I don't remember how it was but it was something like "aim slightly higher and to the left of the crosshair".
After I learned that thing it was easy pete to shoot with it. ;)

No it's the bug that has to do with V.A.T.S.

The small explosion that the projectile caused ended up doing the damage rather than the projectile itself (or something or rather). Basically the gun didn't work in V.A.T.S. because the damage was gimped.

Infiltrator and Double-barrel sawed off but actually make it worth anything at all.
As far as apparel I always thought that the only clothes that looke good were the Pre-war business-wear and the talon company armor all other clothes can stay in DC (not including power armor)

Oh, well I stopped using VATS after my first playthrough so I wouldn't know.

A decent sawed-off shotgun. That wannabe in 3 had a pistol grip. Shotguns don't have pistol grips.

I'd say that I want the Merc outfits, but they apparantly are already in. I saw a screenshot of a guy in the Adventurer outift, and the wiki says that Boone wears the Grunt outfit.

The new Advanced power armor variations from FO3 are something I'd definitely love to see be made available one way or another but I'll settle for the classic version if I have to.

The Tesla Armor was pretty cool, but they should probably change the helmet a bit to make it more in line with the Advanced Power Armor model that's in New Vegas currently. That would definitely be a good armor for New Vegas. Pretty much everything else that I wanted to return is guaranteed to be in the game.

That's usually the point of a sawed-off... make it smaller so you can pull it out quick. Like a 2-shot pistol that'll blow a hole the size of a basketball in your chest.

I hope they don't have the T-45d power armor, there wasn't any in Fallout 1 or 2. So, I wouldn't expect any on the West Coast... all Brotherhood members better be wearing T-51b.
