sneak = khajit
swords man = nord
magic = elves

but if you want to be overpowerd like hell , play khajit with sneak on master

you can see in the dark

It depend on what you want to do, personally I find it easier to immerse my self into skyrim as a nord.

Play the one you find the most interesting. I find playing as a character you find interesting is a lot more fun than stressing over which character is the best.

It depends.and also not depends wich class you are going to be.You can be different and be a orc mage or a Nord thief. or a breton warrior

This, most of the racial benefits are leveled out or junk past level 10, Altmer get extra magic who is nice, Khajiit get night eye who is nice then sneaking in dark places.

Archer: Wood Elf
Sneak: Khajit
Mage: High Elf
Swordsman: Orc, Imperial, Redguard, or Nord (they each specialize in one thing so it depends if you want 1 handed, 2 handed, light armor, or heavy armor)

Redguards are bad ass. That was my first character. If I was to start again, I'd play a Wood elf probably. I think they're the coolest looking Elven race.
