i prefer bretons, the magic resist is just convinient for me. A once a day cast or some of the other resists don't interest me, dunmer look the coolest tho

I think the 100 meter sprint is the best race. It's a test of pure speed, and most sprints tend to be quite intense.

Tho they didn't actually save the Mer of course =P, The champion of Cyrodiil and Martin saved EVERYONE. However Mankar Camoran who caused the oblivion crisis... was an Altmer, also Mannimarco (King of Worms) was an Altmer Lich.

They matched quickly but over-extended themselves, they moved to take over hammerfell but the after the initial assault the Altmer were pushed back and it became a war of attrition. Also their invasion of Cyrodiil similarly was only initially good, but they started losing land again, finally being forced back out of the Imperial City. The Aldmeri Dominion is great at attacking but horrible at defending.
