What role are you playing?

Post » Thu Jun 14, 2012 11:38 pm

It's kind of a vague/random topic, but I like to see what people are doing for RP sometimes. Tell me about your latest RP character, backstory, whatever... I also need some inspiration for my latest character who I want to RP. Let's hear your stories! :)

I roleplay Artorius, an imperial who fights for the empire against his will. His famly have lived in Skyrim his whole life, and he has no interest in the war, but must protect his farmland just outside Ivarstead. He often hunts in his Fur Armor, to bring food back to his wife. However, when he fights, he uses a two handed sword to destroy his enemies.

I'm Aradal the Lightbringer:

Dragonborn
Paladin of the Nine
Descendant of the Divine Crusader

Aradal is skilled in 1/2 handed combat, Restoration/Destruction magic, Heavyarmor, blocking, Enchanting, Smithing

This guy is pretty much the bane of the unholy. A tireless protector of the innocent and hunter of threats to mankind, his crusade will not stop until he is either dead or his mission is complete.

I am playing a vampire redguard female, who was beaten by her father and was met by a pale man and he agreed to give her a gift to help stop him. She ending up eating her dad and ran away from her home to be later chased all over tamriel by vampire hunters (she was bitten at 21 wasent very strong is now) and was forced to become better at sneaking through towns when thirsty so then developed her skills in sneak and archery when hunting targets as a mercenary. Later becoming once of the best dark brotherhood assasins still using her "gift" to this day, not relying on anyone but herself and her bow.

Ragnarok Kha-Zor
Heavy archer ( Will play him with Crossbows )
People may think he's one of these regular brutes but he's really smart.
Born to a Breton mother and an Orc father , once a Thalmor vampires patrol took his father and he never saw him again.
From there comes the hate to vampires and to the Thalmor ( we all need to hate them don't we ? )

No, Vampire or Werewolf they seem to side with you if they're nearby and you get attacked for Transforming/not feeding...
Walk near Jorrvaskr with a companion tell them to leave, then transform... The Companions, your companion, and some of the NPCs will fight for you while the rest try to kill you..
a good way to make most of Whiterun end up dead.... especially if people start leaving the inn while its happening

A Bosmer serial killer, he stalks beautiful women, learns their schedule and then when the moment is right, he slits their throats.

I play dead is dead and I never reload if I mess something up. I was thinking on becoming a vampire, but now with the new DLC coming out soon, I might just hold on for a while. If my character is still alive by the time it comes out, he deserves to be a vampire lord.

Wow. We're roleplaying almost exactly the same person - Areia the Slayer, my female Imperial, uses 1h, heavy armour, destruction, restoration, archery and enchanting. She is an undead/vampire slayer.

Well... hate to admit it, but I have a counterpart vampiric "death knight" planned - 1h (maces), heavy armour, smithing, conjuration (necromancy) and destruction... I don't know which side I'll do first though, both look great.

I'll give you a quick rundown! Haha :)

I roleplay Grennor the Orc. (Eventually becoming Dromok gro-Brosh)

His entire life up until the age twenty-six was fairly normal. He lived in the village of Riverwood, worked at the mill, was the town drunk. and would help take care of bandits whenever they'd bother the village.
The last time he would ever do so he was over powered and left to die in the woods. After a few hours, Grennor was unconscious at this point, a Khajiit healer, Jo'Dro. Jo'Dro healed Grennor, and after he had listened to his story Jo'Dro went with Grennor to slay the bandits, and being a master wizard, he made quick work it. Grennor begged him to teach him, but he refused saying he was on a very important quest. He, however, left him with two spell tombs, one healing and the other spark. For the next six years Grennor practiced his magic abilities, even taking up Alchemy.

Eventually the local trader refused to get any of the higher level spell tombs, due to him being the only one in town who would purchase them. At this point Grennor realized there was nothing left for him in Riverwood. So he packed his things and prepared to leave. After saying his goodbyes to everyone he left for Whiterun. Upon arriving he noticed a caravan outside of the city. He began speaking to the Khajiit, telling him his story. The Khajiit offered to sell him robes at a discount price. Grennor jumped at the offer, and thanked the Khajiit. Before leaving he asked him his name, and Grennor replied.

"Grennor, Grennor the Orc? No, no, no that is no name for an Orc!"

After hearing what the Khajiit had to say, and much deliberation, he settled on Dromok gro-Brosh. (Brosh being the name of my favourite Morrowind character, and the CoC!)

From there on he has begun the life of an adventurer! He has become more of a scholar/warrior now, after growing very close with his Orsimer kinsmen in the strongholds. Relying on his mace, Malacath, and a little destruction magic here and there. His kinsmen have relied more on his growing healing abilities as well. Even though he has grown away from his mage roots, he is still very much a scholar, loving books and history!

--------------------------------
I hope you enjoyed this very quick synopsis! :)

I'm playing me. And "me" happens to dislike Vampires, and Undead. So I'll be serving the Dawnguard.

Plus the whole "blotting out the sun" thing just doesn't seem like a very sporting thing to do.

Agata, a Nord Battlemage - heavy armor, one-handed and destruction.

She was born in Cyrodiil - her father was an officer of the Imperial Legion and her mother was a Mage with the Synod. Agata's parents were both killed in the Great War, and Agata began to roam Cyrodiil, searching for a place to call home. She was furious at the Empire for failing her parents - they could have avoided the war, and her parents would still have been alive.

Eventually Agata ended up in Helgen. A few years later, a group of Stormcloaks were brought for execution - an execution which was interrupted by a dragon.

I Rp as a person who an ex-Imperial soldier. She doesn't dislike the Empire, but is needed in another battle. She is a werewolf and will protect his secret and others blessed with lycanthropy. The first battle started with the silver hand, but they were later wiped out (Compaion quests). Yet there is another battle coming...As a werewolf, she has inbred hatred of vampires, and will soon join the Dawnguard to eliminate her natural enemy.

On the other hand, I RP a bloodthirsty vampire who is out to cause as much destruction as possible. He will join with the Volkair(sp?) Clan to increase his destruction

Both of my two main saves are similar.

My Imperial is the bastard, half-elf, son a a powerful Imperial lord. He runs away when he is very young and joins up with a gang of theives in a large city. After spending years with the gang he becomes one of their best members. Proving to be a troubleshooter, expert burglar, master pickpocket, spy, information broker, ect. After years of the gangs ever increasing activity in the city the Baron cracks down on the gang. After several months of back alley ambushes and arrest, the city garrison finally gets a member of the gang to come forth and reveil the location of the gangs hideout for a pardon and safe passage out of the province. The garrison raids the hideout late one night, kills many of the members and captures or routes the rest. My character escapes with a lasting facial scar and stays in Cyrodiil long enough to watch helplessly as the ring leaders of the gang are exicuted. He travels north to esacpe the bounty that his on his head. While crossing the Skyrim/Cyrodiil border he is caught in an abush set for a Stromcloak patrol. After escaping the headsmans block due to the intervention of a dragon, he escapses with a fellow prisoner and manages to to flee the city. After escaping the the town, my character parts ways with his fellow escapee and treks off towards the West. He steals his way into a fourtoune before being caught in Markarth and is sent to Cidhna mine. After half a year he escapes and heads East to Riften, where a fellow prisoner and fomer theives guild member told him to talk to a man named Bryjolf for a spot in the guild. Seeing the guild in such a bad state he makes it his goal to rebuild the guild and not let it fall like his old gang.

My Bosmer was the heir to a wealthy lord in Vallenwood. After his father died, he became the lord at a very young age. After he became the lord his lands and fortune quickly multiplyed. His aptitude for political intrigue and his shadowy connections with a band of outlaws that were terrorising a neighboring lord and rival, earned him many enimies. At the outbreak of the Great War he pledge his support for the Aldmeri Dominon. He levied his forces and marched West, first to Hammerfell, then North to Cyrodiil, where he served as advanced recon and scouts. Using the confusion of the war, his rivals raid his castle, burning it to the ground, raised his town, and put the surfs to the sword, blaming it all on Imperial loyalist that were active in the area. After learning of the destuction of his home he deserts the Aldmeri army after assassinating the young son of the rival lord that was campigning with him. He leaves with a band of deserters to head North, where they raid both Imperial and Aldmeri forces. After several years as a bandit he leads a raid on a Stormcloak patrol, meaning to capture Jarl Ulfic and ransom him to the Imperials. During the raid however, the Imperials quickly ammbush both of the Stormcloacks and raiders, taking my character captive. After escaping Helgan, he heads towards Riften to join up with some of his contacts in the Theives guild, as well as contacting the Dark Brotherhood. Using his past connections with both of the factions he soon sets himself up as the Kingpen of all of Skyrim's crime organizations.

You do realise the Divine Crusader is equal to Sheogorath I hope, but my character is kinda the same as yours, same stats, same morality, also, is killing Nazeem a bad thing? I stealthily putted frenzy on him today as he was saying his same old crap to me agian(and pissed me off for the very last time). He died from a guard's arrow to the heart.

Anyway, my character is Niels the Dragonborn, both a very proud mer murdering nord and a undead/daedra vanquishing paladin. He is a all rounder, using archery, melee(one hand, block, heavy armor), magic(destruction, restoration) and crafting(enchanting, smithing), all with great efficiency due to his very high level(lvl 68). He used to be a werewolf and vampire but now uses his knowledge to eradicate that what he once was. Using Ysgramor's shield and his silver sword, no undead can stand agianst him.

It hasn't been proven, but yes, I'm aware of the possible connection. In my world, that never happened though.

It's typical for monsters to underestimate us humans. It happened in Diablo, it will happen here as well.

My favorite role playing guy lately is an Imperial werewolf named Valin. He was cursed with lycanthropy and despised and hated by the Imperial Legion which killed his family. I backed up this story by turning into a werewolf and seen by thte guards in each Imperial controlled Hold and I also hunt soldiers on the roads and camps.

Im playing a female redgaurd who's entire family was assassinated by the dark brotherhood while she was out drinking , she wasn't there to defend them and she is so racked with guilt for it she try's to make up for it by helping other families but ultimately she will never forgive herself . She came to skyrim to hunt down the dark brotherhood to avenge her family's murder.

She specializes in alteration and one-handed but only with one sword , no dual wielding , she always wears her hammerfell garb and always carries her alik'r hood but will never wear it , as a reminder of her failure to protect her family. She comes to skyrim and is caught crossing the border and well... you know what happens from there , she is still bloodthirsty for the dark brotherhood but after seeing ralof's family in riverwood she put it aside for the more important dragon menace , when she does kill the dragon she finds out she is the only one that can stop them and the end of the world , dragonborn so she halts her revenge to save everyone and to do her family proud , feeling her guilt dissapate slightly as she feels it was all fate.

She defeats Alduin and then investigates into finding the dark brotherhood and as she would never work for them but eager to find him she wanted to see if the contract was truly evil as Aretino said and Grelod was an exception .... after that she wakes up in the shack and kills astrid and works her way through the rest of them , she then retires to her whiterun home to help others but soon see's the untold damage the war is doing to the people of skyrim and knows no matter what side she picks it has to end now .

During her travels however she has seen how corrupt the empire is and being a redgaurd and former alik'r she despises the thalmor and ultimately allies with the stormcloaks , that's as far as Iv'e played her to date :)
