What should I do about Louis Letrush, he is multiplying!

I was walking by the stables near Whiterun, and I noticed Louis Letrush was half embedded in the sidewalk, next to another man standing. I thought "bug, no big deal, it will go away after a while." So now, days later, after saving the game, exiting Skyrim and reloading, I see he has multiplied 4 times - the clones are above ground just standing around next to the half-buried one, see the pic!

What should I do?

Mods: SKSE, SkyUI, and a female nvde mod that doesn't affect men.

If Letrush is multiplying, I wonder if he might actually be influenced by your female nvde mod in a different way. :smile:

Sorry, couldn't resist it. Besides, it's a pretty poor female nvde mod, if it doesn't affect men at all.

It's an issue with the base game. Although it is covered in the unofficial patch.

Next time you see him, select Louis and all of his clones in the console and type markfordelete.

Save or leave the area and come back and they should be gone.

and i thought it was only me getting those clones -.- i even disabled them and they returned :(

In console, click on a Louis and type:
disable
then:
markfordelete
Repeat for each Louis instance you want to get rid of.

OK, did that. Now I see it in the UESPwiki, I see it is a well-known bug - I should've checked before, I usually do; but it didn't give a very good fix either. What I did, since I did not want to banish Letrush, was click on the multiples which had different IDs, and do the disable-markfordelete thing. Then I moved Letrush by moveto player. Well, after some work, jumping off the guard wall I got him out of the ground - but he was still suspended in mid-air with his feet spread like he was riding a horse! So I thought maybe if I cause a reset of the environment he might be fixed. I went into Whiterun for a few seconds, and when I came back out he was half embedded in the sidewalk again - in the exact same spot as before. :facepalm: Sheesh. Maybe I should've kept one of the duplicates instead. I will try that next time.


NEXT TIME: OK I loaded a previous game, went to him and deleted all but one copy, including the correct ID Letrush embedded in the sidewalk. Fast traveled back, and he is above ground, in that same place, standing around (like he should?). So I will use that branch of events and see what happens, if I keep doing things W/that character (all the important quests are done). Thnx anyway. Special thnx to skooma_fiend.


Why isn't Bethesda working on fixes for probs like this, instead of working on mounted ranged combat, which no one will be able to use effectively to quantity? Could it be that there is no headlines in fixing these bugs? No, say it ain't the reason.
