What's supposed to happen when you pay a prostitue? : Fallout: New Vegas

Because all that happens whenever I pay one ( Dazzle ) at Gomorrah is I lose a hundred caps and the screen goes black for a half a second. No sounds or buffs or
de-buffs. Is that how it's supposed to work?

Mainly because you're supposed to get the idea that you're getting services, without actually showing it. Cause even with an 'M' tag from ESRB, fornication in a vidyagame is bad for business.

Well, if you want to state at a black screen for three and a half minutes, you can always just reach over and turn off the TV or monitor.

Anyway, I don't mind the fade to black. It's more than we got in FO3.

I have not paid a prosttute but I did pay that "Forecaster" kid at the 188 Trading Post for his thoughts and got less for my 100 caps than a blank screen. Now that is a waste. At least with the implied six you can conjure a mental image. With this you have to listen to his pointless babbling.

I don't know. six scenes in books and movies can be a good thing. Why not in video games? Even a "lite" six scene where the camera pans to the fireplace or something would be ... something.

If you're not going to do anything with them, why have prosttutes in the game at all?

Hell, even Fallout 2 was more explicit than F:NV.

In my game when i payed the prosttute I was really just using her for a bed that didnt take me 4-5 loading screens to get to, after being in the Gommorah for a few hours. But nevertheless i could still hear her moaning away as my guy slept, at least she enjoyed it. But yes there is some "lite" audio ques that imply six, or at least that the prosttute is dreaming about six.

If you want a 3D porm simulator... play with a 3D porm simulator.

That being said, I thought The Witcher did the whole thing rather nicely. It's basically a 5 second blurred background thing as an explicit portrait of the character you're enjoying zoom in. It made it into a collector's game too, gotta catch 'em all!
In my opinion that was just right, not too little (Fallout 3+NV) and not too much (3D porm simulator)

DA had the best six ever, my character appears wearing full plate armor with his weapon equipped (I chose not to use the word sword). Talk about safe six.

Back on topic, I see why they left it out totally. Seems there are some stores and a bunch of folks that don't mind extreme violence, but a little sixing is too much. I would prefer something classy, like The Witcher method that Duskey mentioned. The fade to black is just kind of cheesy, at the barest they should have added the NPC saying: "Already!?!?!" at the end of the blank screen.

Well, as long as it's done tastefully and is optional, people'd not mind much, I think. That said, we should be glad for what we got, if we think about what FO3 was like... <_<

What about Fable? There was a black screen, but you could kinda hear what was going on...
