what systemconsole did you play Rage on

Post » Fri May 04, 2012 1:01 am

Just out of curiosity, I'd like to know what system/console everyone played rage on and if they enjoyed it. I played it on the pc and loved it. It seems like they're a lot of disputes/controversy among the forums and the gaming community about this game. I think that this thread might give the developers a better idea who their target audience is for the game. Either way I am curious myself. I also feel that this game was meant to be played with a mouse and keyboard for accuracy considering the AI (especially the mutants). If you played on the pc please reveal your system specs.

PC...

I personally loved it.

This thread will most likely be locked as there was a thread already about opinions on the game. And it was shut down, it was just going in circles,LOL.

The game is on steam which means developers can get a very good idea of what systems people are playing on. However, if you are just curious my PC has PII 940 @ 3.5ghz, 8gb ram, 2x radeon 5850s, and 180gb vertex 2.

Not that it really matters. The game has very low requirements and we've even had one person here claim to be able to play it on Intel integrated graphics.

Played through single player 5 times on Xbox360 and enjoyed every minute of it despite the mediocre ending. Great game !
Never had any door glitch bugs or else like some people report.
Even got the obsessive compulsive achievement!
But i doubt that i will ever be able to get the achievement for five finger fillet...

Multiplayer is a little less attractive though. The online racing didn't really get me hooked and wasteland legends can be very laggy for the client which makes aiming and hitting quite of a challenge.

PC and loved it. Only had some popping issues prepatch, and then all was fine. Never really glitched at any point after that.

Running i5 @ 2.67ghz, 4gB DDR3, NVidea GeForce GTS 250. Looks stunning, runs almost perfectly all the time.

PS3 then PC once driver issues were sorted.

Local co-op is easier to set up and Defib is more fun on the PS3. Graphic streaming issues, higher res textures and some minor extra effects are better on the PC. PC only seems to load textures in an area the once (and quickly), PS3 version seems to load every time you look away and back again due to memory constraints. Both play exactly the same other than defib.

My double purchase should show that I enjoyed it, although I was severly disappointed with the length of the second area and the lead up to the ending. Verged on shocking considering the first half of the game and felt unfinished/rushed.

Played it on PS3 and thought the game was great aside from the texture loading which wasn't so bad.

Yeah, they said they got 30fps on Intel 3000 integrated graphics and there is even a version of game available on the iPhone. Baking a lot of the graphics effects right into the textures means the game is half movie and you can just stream it off the storage.

I played it on my 360.

I would've liked to have gotten the PC version but I don't have the hardware for it.

Bought the game on the day of it release on Xbox 360 and loved every minute of it. I've been playing a lot on Mutliplayers online (mostly Road RAGE) and I am now playing the single-player story (~8hours thus far). Other than texture loading issue, I think the graphic is beautiful. Rat Rod has to be one of my favoriate ride.
