What's the best Daedric quest to do?

Post » Mon Jun 04, 2012 6:43 pm

Hey,
just wondering what you think is the best Daedric Quest to do? I want to do one but I'm not sure how many there are and who they are for. Is there one for every prince or something? I started the one for Bolac Maul but I didn't feel like finishing it. :D
I don't really care about it being spoiled, so don't worry about letting anything slip.

I think Sheogorath was the best Daedric Prince. His Joker type character was hilarious.

The funniest quest series was A Night to Remember which involves Sanguine

The best overall quest chain is the Thieves Guild which involves Nocturnal

Wabbajack is the strongest weapon in the entire game. Killed a dragon priest in one hit. Thats 1500 damage, in one attack.

I easily reearn azura's star, the wabbajack, sanguine's staff, spell breaker, the ogma infinium, and mehrunes's razor. My favorite is a heavy armor that silences your steps while damaging hostile enemies around you for a few points a second. They're all amazing and worth getting, I haven't gotten any other artifact, but that's half of them right there. :)

The only ones I have done so far are Azura's, Meridia's and Sheogorath's. Ever since Morrowind, I usually try and do Azura's quest as early as I can, but here I put it off for a while. Obviously, starting Boethiah's quest early in Morrowind helps, cause it takes a while for it to be finished and you can get Goldbramd, but here theres a level requirement.

I honestly don't see what the big deal is about Sheogorath. Maybe its because I dont have Shivering Isles, but I don't much care for him. Sure, him saying that Pelagius was afraid of pumpernickel made me laugh a little, but not much else. Like I said in another thread, I dont like the loud/insane types. I like the dark and subtle ones.

I need to learn how to recharge weapons. This is a great one to have.

i like the drunksman quest.
you have a very nice funny story about what you have done when you where drunk.
at the end you will get a flower where you can conjurate demora lords with.
its hellpful when you are not a conjure or normal mage.

Depends what you're looking for. Rewards? The "The Only cure" quest I found very rewarding, the spellbreaker shield pretty much makes dragon breath useless. There's also the black star quest where you can get essentially a recharging black/grand soul gem. Plot? I like "A night to remember" and "The cure for madness", both pretty fun quests with decent rewards.
Exactly... the shield makes battle with dragon and spellcasters a breeze.

Ebony mail in a nice heavy armor for people who want to sneak around unnoticed.

Dawnbreaker is a nice sword to use in Draugr tombs

Savior's hide is a cool looking light armor for barbarian types...

As far as rewards are concerned I liked Mehrunes Dagon quest because it nets me the daedra hearts for Daedric Armor.

As far as the quest itself is concerned, A Night To Remember is my favorite.

Filled soul gems and an Arcane Enchanter

To recharge a weapon, all you need are filled gems.

Most of the Daedric quests have pretty good rewards, but their value depends partly on your class and partly on what level you get the goodies. The Wabbajack can be insanely powerful, or insanely useless. Sanguine Rose is great at bringing some powerful muscle. Azura's star is nice, but you need to spend it regularly otherwise it isn't much use.

I know some don't like doing work for these heartless beings, but ultimately you get the upper hand.

You don't need an arcane enchanter to fill the weapon's soul, only to enchant and disenchant.

I really enjoyed the Peryite quest, taking out quite a few afflicted was a good dungeon.

A "night to remember" was fun and I still use the Rose when I'm in a hole.

Sanguine's is good, Azura's is decent, but the Daedric quests in Skyrim are 1/100 as creative and fun as those from Morrowind and Oblivion. Vaermina's in Oblivion was awesome.

To actually answer to some of OP's quests: there are 16 Daedric Quests, so no, not one with every prince. They all are for different princes though. It's up to you and your character what kind of quests you two like the best, or even feel right to do at all. Judging what you said about Molag Bal's quest, you might want to do some "good" instead. Most of the quests are actually pretty hideous, but at least Azura and Meridia offer you something little more pleasant to do. In both cases, look for their shrines.

Also, Clavicus Vile's quest is pretty harmless... have you seen a certain odd dog near Falkreath? And personally, after a hard day's work, I know nothing better than having a few drinks with my dear old friend Sam Guevenne at the local tavern! Not that there's anything wrong helping a poor crazy bastard in Solitude, which involves investigating an unused wing at Blue Palace - and a little something else as well...

Its not very controversial to say that Sheogorath's quest is by far the best dialog. Its challenges were also unique, if way too easy.

My favorite daedric quest overall was probably Pyrite's though. The hardest part of the quest is initiating it, but once you've got that taken care of its a Dwemer dungeon crawl with unique enemies. I have absolutely no moral dilemma with exterminating a cult that's trying to drown me in green vomit.

Its definitely one of my favorites. I used it on a low level Dragaur once and ended up turning the dude into a friggin' Daedra Lord who promptly killed me. You never know what you are going to get with that thing.

There are 16, so one for every major daedric prince.

They're all awesome what I've done. :) Not done them all. The weapons are all awesome.
The nice ones are Asuras and Meridias. No one gets hurt who is'nt bad.
Perydrites is good. Sheogoraths is funny and fun. Hircines is good.
The fun and evil ones are Molag Bal, Boethigh.
Mehrunes Dagons is a bit meaner than others. But cool.
Clavicus Viles involves a annoying dog that stoves you into everything possible and sometimes nearly off things. You will be so tempted to do as Clavicus Vile says.
Hermaneous' is good, but more stuff to do than the others.
