"What's the hurry?"

Post » Tue Jun 12, 2012 4:56 pm

Ok, I started a new game to try to play a different style. When the dragon attacked Helgen, I sprinted to get inside the tower faster. I ended up knocking Ralof aside in the process, and he said "What's the hurry?"

Uuuh... how about... there's a damned dragon outside! How's that for what the hurry is?!

That's just the generic words people say when you bump them. There are a few other sayings too but I don't know them by heart.

The best is when you get those default responses from doing a charge attack. As I lifted my sword and leapt forward with fury in my eyes, the bandit's final words were "Hey - watch where you're going!"

I die laughing when stuff like that happens. Or when you die and a bandit says something nice to your dead body. Oh Skyrim how I love you so.

Ralof is the Shezzarine happy to see his brother again, in hopes that this time, it'll be Alduin's heart inside of Nirn and not his. This is why he asks you if you're in a hurry.

Inb4: Dragonborn is the Shezzarine.

EDIT: Got ninja'd. And I got to say, toothman, that is probably one of the best Skyrim stories I've heard.

Even better is when I got a decapitation, and the necromancer said "That your best?" immediately after.

I thought from reading the title it was something different. Yeah I don't like when they say something that they really shouldn't be saying. One of the things I don't like when you exit the cave with either Hadvar, Ralof they say "we should split up and meet at Riverwood." but they stay there waiting for you. So much for splitting up.

That has always puzzled me...

I love those silly things, to those people who can't stand them because they break their immersion - I'm so glad I can suspend my disbelief and don't have to be at the mercy of the game's programming.

The funniest thing that happened to me has nothing to do with dialogue, but I had a certain canine follower who is linked to Clavicus Vile and stays with you until you reach a specific destination; I thought I'd stay the night at The Bee and Barb in Riften so I paid for my room, went upstairs and hit the sack. I awaken feeling well rested only to jump out of my skin when the door swings open....and Barbas the dog strolls in.

It doesn't sound like much, but there's something surprisingly comical about seeing a dog walk into a room so nonchalantly like dogs open doors all the time.

I just love when Bandits say you are about to die, then you hit them one more time and they are dead. Guess they were wrong. LOL.
