What's the meaning of dualwielding?

Post » Fri Jun 01, 2012 10:21 am

I started a new game after I played my first character 44 levels with two-handed-weapons. This time I tried to dualwield swords. For me it seems that I'm not able to hit any faster with using two blades than if I use only one and I'm not able to do any powerful dualstrikes. So I became to think it may not give any profit to you to use two weapons expect the thing it may looks like better with some characters. Have anyone experience or thoughts about this?

You can hit with both swords at the same time adding up damage. You also have a attack speed buff and the dual sword powerattack(standing) is just overpowered..That's what makes dual wielding a strong combo.

Press the left and right attack button at the same time, you do a Dual Power attack that literally destroys anything. Watch my video on you tube, you can also get dual back stab bonuses. I killed giant at lvl 22 using this method. Also It breaks through shield blocks and does double damage if you use regular Dual Chop. I recommend using a Mace and Sword and getting the Bone Crusher perk. Also, Get the Dual wield perks they give you 35% IAS + 50% + the Standing power attack 50%

It's very powerful when you hit with both weapons simultaneously. Just make sure that you invest on stamina.

Well this makes sense for dualwielding. I have tried it only with lvl1 Altmer with two iron swords and it seems that power attack is not dealing any notable damage. At that time it seemed that having a sword in one hand and destruction spell on another is ten times more powerful than having two swords.
