What's the stuff inside Malteasers?

Post » Fri May 27, 2011 7:21 pm

See, I'd always assumed that the crunch filling inside Maltesers was some sort of biscuit - but then I suddenly realised that it doesn't look like any biscuit I've ever seen. My whole world was crashing down around me as I realised I have no idea what the material inside Maltesers is. It doesn't taste like honeycomb, it's too light to be biscuity, but it's not like a breadstick either - what on earth is it?

Rather than relying on the amassed knowledge of this forum, a quick search of Wikipedia would have found the answer.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maltesers

Not exactly a discussion topic.
