What is the worst thing that could possible that could ruin

Getting bored quickly. I feel like 20 different games could get a bit repetitive, but i dont think so.

If my game exploded in my ps3, melted it, reformed into a monster, and ate my cat, that would Pi$$ me off.

My main worries are a bad netcode, a gameplay à la console (I'm a PC gamer) and a desaster like Black Ops where the game ran horrible on most systems although they should have handle it without a problem (and it still runs like [censored] and get worse by every "patch"). I hope the PC version needs more skill in aiming. No hitboxes in shape of a barn and at least a little realistic bullet physic (aim higher for long distance shots, aim in the direction of a moving target...etc.). No offence against console players. I know it's way harder to aim with a gamepad which is quiet inaccurate and way too slow compared to a mouse+keyboard combo. An aim assist and big hitboxes make sense for consoles but not on PC. It would be way too easy and it would destroy the fun. I know this game is about teamplay but I would hate to see it if there was no "learning curve" where everyone can play godlike right up the start.

People not working together. I'm already miffed that my laptop can't run Brink, and I'm slightly worried about the 360 players I have to play with. It happens occasionally with Left 4 Dead, people think the best tactic is just to sprint through the level and leave everyone else behind...

Hopefully I'll find some players on these forums I can play with.

What would ruin Brink for me? Well, if I'm met with a dumbed down console shooter poorly ported to my PC come Tuesday, I'll be more than a little disappointed.

As a PC gamer, I've lost faith in the FPS genre as publishers saw dollar signs when the already-obsolete-at-launch-non-upgradeable-PCs-in-the-living-room-with-handicapped-peripherals (aka "Consoles") became a viable market for shoe-horned genres (I still get a laugh at developers trying to fit a decent MMO onto a console).

I seriously resent all of your insults to consoles, their games, and by implication, to its users. I dont care what opinion you have about pcs. you dont have to criticize consoles. all my life i have been a console gamer and I have always been more than satisfied with every single console ive played. And i find it ironic that you call consoles obsolete when you said it yourself that PCs need an upgrade everytime a new game comes out. Why the hell would I want to spend $200 on a new graphics card every single time a new game comes out. Consoles are awesome because you dont have to worry about those kind of things. So go and take your console hate somewhere else cause it is not welcome here. tsk.

and to answer the original OP's post...this...people like this guy is what ruin games in general for me...

Definitely lag, I don't like playing against bots and will only play through the story on each side offline once and if there is lag it's going to ruin the whole thing. :flame:

..if the xbox can't keep the graphics as smooth as in the previews

..and if there won't be much hitpoints difference between the bodytypes. that would mean everyone choose the fastest type instead.

The first thing I can come up with is that by the movement speed alot of battles will be just someone rushing towards the other guy and slide him down and then finish him off. This problem was also in Gears of War 1, kind-off, there everyone just rolled, rolled, shotgun kill, they fixed it in Gears 2 by slowing down people who are shot at extremly so it had more tactics.

Srry about my spelling, English is not my native language.

I've got complete faith in Splash Damage for game design and development; what would ruin the game for me is if too many incompetent or selfish people play, and the objective wheel isn't enough to modify their behavior, and the teamplay innovations become irrelevant on public servers.

Nerfs

Well you can't be sure of that until we see how the game plays at release. There is the very slightest chance that some of the weapons may need some tweaking.

What I'M worried about are the patches that generally accompany nerfs and other changes. MAG went through about 15 patches, it was ridiculous. The only point of some patches were to fix things the previous patch [censored] up, it seemed like every single one broke SOMETHING.

PSN still being down on release =*(

OT: The way I see it, the destruction objectives are fin, but im worried about how the escort missions will go down. Seems like the team escorting will have a verrrrrrrry hard time. But even the implementation of things like TDM would be fine. Worked fine in BFBC2 with teamplay as long as you stayed with your squad

I'd say the replay value of this game could ruin the game for me. I'm really hoping its something I can constantly play and not get bored of so easily.
meh, the only thing I hate about this game is that its only a maximum of 8 players on either side. wish it could be like 10 or 12 maximum.
