Saved it before the point of no return, im rich from buying from the guy at novac, then owning him at caravan..
I have most weapons (Uniques Too) Most clothes..
I just seem to spend my time, sneak killing my NCR Veteran Ranger friends and looting there armour, or looking to see if any Veteran Rangers have the 'Ranger Sequoia' of which i have 10 fully repaired at the moment, got my first from the mission 'Return to sender'
But now i can get unlimited.. All i do is play caravan, wander around, behead peoples corpses with my chainsaw & play Blackjack at the Atomic Wrangler (Seeing as im 'banned' at the other casinos for winning so much)
While plays of 360 will be playing some nice new DLC new month, what will us PS3 (& PC) Owners have to do ?
Ive been playing for 100+ Hours, and im running out of things to do.. Ive done, honestly nearly all side quests the game has to offer..
(I reloaded my save before the point of no return to complete ending with NCR, reloaded to do it with Yes Man, and again to do it with Mr House)
The ending is SHOCKING & Reallllllllly boring..
What do you guys find entertaining if you have nothing else to do ? :unsure2:
No matter what anyone says the game has NO replay value what so ever, for the simple fact, a game like this cant have replay value, simple as..
You spend alot of time on one character, finding everything, amassing a small fortune, looking for every gun, etc..
Your not going to want to start again, because it will be boring and you know what to expect (Despite what the devs tell you ALL 3 endings are almost identical!)
Thats why i decided to just reload my save from before the point of no return from my NCR play through.. Well then again, im on good terms with everyone apart from the Powder Gang & Caesar (Who i raided there base and [censored] them all including Caesar)

Just explore on a new playthrough?

Have you completed all the "challenges" listed in your Pipboy? If you have no quests to do or random stuff to collect, try those.

Also, if you just reload from the point of no return and do the MQ allying with different host, parts of the ending will be the same as your earlier actions won't change. Start over with a new and different character and do things differently, many of the quests and desicions affect the ending (including companion quests and their differing paths).

Assuming you did all that on Hardmode and on the very hard gameplay difficulty setting... I think it's time you should go to this place they call "outside", socializing with these creatures called "people". It's pretty scary and I wouldn't want to be on your shoes right now D:

Its the same as FO3 ya dig? After ya finished the main quest, theres nothing more you can do except to wander around.

Ive done most challenges, but they just continue even if you do them, i dont get any XP from them anyways..
I haven't played it on hardcoe no, & yeah, guess your right about that, but the end reels/slides are pretty crap, i mean whats the point in getting 800xp when the games 'ends' ?
I want Legates armour aswell...
I do enjoy just wandering around, but i just dont want to get bored of it and move onto another game, id go back to fallout 3, but i overkilled that game, 100% anything to do with it.. ^^

100+ hours and you're now saying you're "bored?" I'm not sure I see anything wrong with that ratio. :laugh:

But I agree with the others....replay the entire game, don't just reload a save. Things change. Especially if you change faction allegiance from the get go, or if you build a different character. Let's say...explosives instead of guns. Or melee-only. Or try going through the game with weak weapon skills but high speech/barter/sneak. Whatever you want. Or try combat without using VATS 95% of the time, if you haven't already (VATS is like the EZ-button). Or try it without using any companions at all.

All kinds of options. I personally am finding that just because I know how a quest goes, that it isn't boring doing it again, since I keep trying the different paths/solution options for each quest and/or trying to do it more efficiently. Like one quest, doing it the high Speech way was very different dialogue than the high INT way, so I found it interesting. But that's just me.

Play a different game. 100+ hrs, I'd say you've had your money's worth at least out of NV.

Yeah.. start a new character... Of course it's going to get boring if your all powerful and done everything there is to do at the end of the game.. der. You obviously haven't done everything there is to do from the start of the game though. Align with different factions from the get-go and play a different way, build a different type of character, start your journey by walking north and skipping Primm.. Or try holding off on going to the strip until you've done all you can do outside the strip. Lots of different ways to play the game. Either use your imagination and try something different or be satisfied with your 100+ hour game and get started on a new game. I personally am at 190 hours and still havent' done all there is to do. But I play slow, mess around a lot and get easily sidetracked with goofing off in areas.

You could restart and do a CL sympathiser playthrough, it seems you haven't done that one yet. Have you tried really getting into the roleplaying aspect? It can be interesting and could add extra challenges to it - there are quite a few threads on here about different character builds to give you some ideas. I agree with the other posts though, doing the different endings when all the quests leading up to it have the same outcome will end up in the end montage looking very similar each time.

I just tried to start a new character on hardcoe.. But i felt i was rushing everything, not looting and stuff..
So i turned hardcoe mode on my original save, to at least make it abit challenging!
Well, it was, i loaded up my save i had 239wg i turn on hardcoe i had 8000+wg...!
All that ammo.. dang lol

The thread kinda makes me wonder how the majority of people play the game.
For me, the "sweet spot" for ending the game has been level 23-26 (3 playthroughs). With all 3 characters, that's just felt very natural for me to come to the end at that point. There's still stuff I haven't done in the game, and I always try to approach it from a "will doing this quest make sense for the character I'm playing?" angle. I don't mean going crazy with it, just setting up a character concept at the start. My second character was a "survivalist Legion sympathizer". He focused on Guns, Survival and Lockpicking and had a really no nonsense type of attitude, very little patience. Obviously avoided NCR quests and became enemies with the NCR fairly quickly. My first character was a smooth-talker with no interest in fighting whatsoever, her main motivations at the start were mainly monetary.
Just small stuff like that can make you approach the game from different angles.

I actually thought I'd go the "completionist" route prior to the game release, but to my absolute delight I think the game really encourages trying out different characters.

you asked what will PS3 owners and PC owners do? well trust me PC people was gots plenty ta do...PS3...i guess be pacient and comtemplate getting it on PC?
